Sam's Great Oro Hunt!!

Hello my fellow Arkadians!

I have been around the planet for a little bit, and got some nice hof crafting so I thought it is about time i do the Oro hunt before the new patch is released!

I have done up to the 1200 Oro Kills, and I would like to focus on finishing this Mission.

I have decided to get to the 12k Mission just killing the youngs, then I will change to the larger ones.

I would be interested to see what people think about hunting the youngs. I am just going to do it with the tt pistol and musca armor. My FAP is my vivot1 and my herb box. I will also be looking for a new disciple that would be willing to fap me the entire time with my vivot1.... its a bit more eco then stopping to fap myself and would get more kills out faster.

My emergency fap is my UL Vivo T15.

So here it goes... I have 63/4800 dead Oros

Also does anyone have any information about the big Oros? Like what kind of dmg they do and such? I have Jaguar/Boar to do them with, but not sure if that is overkill?

Using Boar and Jag armor on the big Oro's will mean you can handle up to Stalkers, the ease also depends on your Evade skill level, I see someone out there that never got hit in cloths fighting stalkers. I use Shogun and A3 MKII and usually get 80-90% returns sometimes even make a little profit.

I also am in the works of setting up a Weekly Oro Grinder event starting Nov30th, if I can get everything organized in time. stay tuned, I to am currently on the 4800 mission

 

Boar sounds a little like overkill to me. Try shogun and see how you go. its been a couple of months but I recall hunting the higher maturity oro in the desert, using 1st gen electric attack IV + ME powerfist, wearing shogun. Seemed to go ok.

I will check out Shogun, I might also do some testing myself so I can see the values that Stalkers do. I am all about hunting Eco, and I have a plethora of Armors available to me.

Im doing the youngs rights now, and will publish my 1st hunt when it is done. I usually do 400-600 ped ammo runs.. I was planning on using the ASI-20 Artics for the bigger maturities, but now thinking about some asi-20 Deserts if I can get ahold of them!

 

I can craft both of those weapons. They don't sell well so I am not putting them on auction at the moment. But I'm sure we can come to an arrangement...

So the 1st hunt was just completed, I ran through 1 tt pistol and 1/5 and burned 100 ped of ammo. It was a long hunt... 3 hours. The Herman Asi-10s last forever!

This is all before MUs, Right now I have 34 Ped of Oror Hides (340 Hides), so that should fetch a pretty penny =). 75% Isnt bad though... and no great loot. Maybe next hunt! and for $3.. it was plenty of fun!

Adjusted pixie and 5b plates work well on larger maturity oro.
Will have to fap abit on crits but will benifit in skill gains in both area's.
Still working mine out decided to kill last 12000 in high maturity have 7000 of 12000 done.
Return rate isn't bad ups and downs like all mobs.

if you use the tt rifle with a101 you will cut down your armor/fap decay a lot. (provided you start shooting them from a distance )

 

if you got some hp and evade and plan on using those guns I would guess you dont need any armor at all if you amp the guns and use a rifle to tag them one and one, or some low level armor to take off the edge of their hits as they probably wont hit you much. (remember only 400 or so hp on a stalker)

Oh and will do Harmony I just had to go to calypso for clients and picking up my a101 =)

 

I took advice given in the thread and changed to the herman law 101 with an A101 amp. I also left the armor in storage and just used my multiple herb boxes for heals... Much better results I would think!
