So a while back I did a Sal'Diresh Key 1 run, upon entering (Solo in a Team) A message was displayed on my screen that mentioned something about increased loot, I was not able to read the whole message (I was too busy taking a sip on my wine, in preparation for the instance run). This message has not appeared again, when I did more Key runs. Has anyone: 1) Seen a similar message ? 2) Know what the whole message is ? 3) Know what triggers increased loot in Sal'diresh ?
1) Yes several times in 1 and 2. 2) it was to fast for me to fully read. 3) No idea, it seems random to me. I can do them repeatedly and not get that message or I can do a single run and get it.
1) Happy to know it is not just me that saw the message (started to think the wine caused it). 2) If someone can take a Screenshot of the message and post it on forum, it would be much appreciated. 3) Wonder is Ark Advisers or Devs can shed some light on it for us ? 4) Now established it happens in Key 1 & 2, has anyone seen this message in Key 3 to 10 runs ?
I do love this research idea of cause and effect of wine on loot drop in instances. I am now off to our local vintners to see if its effected by the price of the bottle. The results may take a while to be compiled as I first have to convince my wife that its important research and she may express some doubts. It would have to be some one recording their runs as the speed it flashes up is faster than any key pressing.
For the sake of accurate data capture; I was drinking a Casillero Del Diablo Cabernet Sauvignon, at the time.
1) Yes, in CUHOF (Toulan instances) 1a) It's believed to be a BS (Battle Simulator, not what you thought ) feature that for some reason slips into normal instances. 2) "you're in luck, complete this instance to receive an increased loot reward" or something like that. 3) It's likely random, and there's no agreement as to whether it actually works or not.
Increased loot is from someone failing to loot part/all of their instance. Loot that should have gone to them is distributed to other avatars that successfully complete the instance after the failed instance.
Was in an official dev post on beacons way back around the time they were re-introduced. Aakas and Sal'diresh used the same system. The only instance system that I know of that might be different is the batsim one as it has a constant bonus loot pool.
