Deathifier suggested here that the Arkadia team would benefit from knowing your frame rate per second (FPS) and what graphics card you're using, at Celeste Harbour, so I thought we should record our data here. To work out your FPS, go to fraps.com and download the software. To work out what graphics card you're using, here's how in WinXP or Win7: WinXP: Start, Control Panel, System, Hardware tab, Device Manager, expand Display Adapters and it should show the device name of your graphics card. Win7: Right click My Computer, select Properties, Device Manager, expand Display Adapters and it should show the device name of your graphics card. EDIT: Please include info about your CPU and RAM as well, also obtainable by right clicking My Computer and selecting Properties. EDIT: Please include info about the graphics settings you have in-game, ie Safe Mode, Low, Medium, High, Very High, as well as any graphics settings you've customised. This will also need to include whether or not you're running in full screen mode, as well as your screen resolution. Template: FPS: Graphics Card: CPU: RAM: EU Graphics Settings: Safe Mode/Low/Medium/High/Very High Full screen mode: Yes/No Screen Resolution: Further Customisation to Graphics Settings or Hardware:
Windows 7 Ultimate x64 AMD Athlon II X4 2.8GHz quad-core 8GB DDR2 800 ATI Radeon HD 4850 (512MB GDDR5) Settings: Everything set to Very High + Motion Blur ON (windowed @ 1440x900) FPS: 17-20 fps just looking at the waterfalls, 35 looking at the ground (running or standing still, by the TP or in the ring) 20-25 looking at buildings to the North or South. Even as a quad landed, it was steady around 18-20 fps.. When first going there, it reduced to about 5-10 while terminals and avatars loaded, but only went up from there. Also note: Compared to 38-40 for the same setting at Celeste Quarry with 10 people and a VTOL outside. Note: CPU/RAM will also play a part in graphics performance, so I've also included those.
NvIdia GeForce GT 220 1360 MHz 1 GB DDR3 Win XP Celeron 1.6GHz 2 GB ram EU Settings on low, some in safe mode (Particle, Shading, Shadows). Windowed Mode and fullscreen doesn't seem to affect much, just more pronounced ofc in fullscreen. Nobody at Celeste Harbor when entered FPS right out of TP: 5-7 FPS in new "patio" area (facing water): 14-15 (yay!) FPS in new "patio" area (facing buildings/TP): 6-7 FPS in PvP area: 5-7 For reference: Quarry lags on me as well, but I sit around 20ish FPS there and most elsewhere (i.e. out in the feild) bumping 25-30 which isn't bad for this dinosaur. Tippin'
AMD Phenom X4 black Edition (standard 3.4Ghz and not overclocked yet) 4GB DDR3 1333 RAM GTX 550TI resolution :1680 x 1050 I get 27 - 30 FPS (all settings set to VeryHigh and AA set to X2) when looking at the waterfall. without AA on I get up to 33 FPS If I rapidly look around I go down to 20ish frames with motion blur on and with it off I get 24
Thank you, Endy. I planned on doing so, but was waiting until I had some FPS data to go along with it. Might add that to the OP as well, Tim?
Took some screens at celeste with Fraps running: (no AA running on any of them) 8-14ish on my normal settings: View attachment 2570 View attachment 2568 View attachment 2569 4-10ish on v.high: View attachment 2572 View attachment 2573 View attachment 2571 30ish on low: (and this is how night SHOULD look) View attachment 2574 View attachment 2575 View attachment 2576 Specs: Win7 pro (64bit) Athlon II X2 240 cpu (2,8Ghz, crap I know ) 8gb ram Radeon HD4650 (1Gb)
Many people also use custom settings. I for example change settings depending on location, from Medium in the jungle, to High in a desert, with most popular setting being all Medium with Shading set to High, to make things brighter.
I ran on a mix of shadows/shading on low, draw distance on very high, water and avatar quality on high, everything else on Medium for a while when I first stated playing. So I know exactly what you mean.
Good point endy, thanks guys. Have edited the OP. It now includes a template of the info that should be presented. I'm not exactly a graphics guru, so keep giving feedback if you think it could be better. Thanks.
I get 33 fps standing still looking straight ahead. 51 fps looking down 63 looking up. When moving FR drops to 25. If I set in gam AA to 8x Everything drops by 5 to10 FPS. (Note..I dont normally use this in game as the card is set to use AA and Its problematic I blieve.) My gfx card is an ATI 5770 with 1gig ddr5 mem on board. I run the GPU clock at 910Mhz the mem clocks at 1395 mhz. Its fully liquid cooled and runs at 35c to 36c constantly. I have a Core I7 920 cpu and run it in normal mode when playing EU. I have ran it Oc'd to 4.34ghz but found the boost in performance for EU negligible and not necessary to stress the system for little gains in performance. I have 12 gig of ddr 1600 corsair memory but I run it at idle timings not at 1600 as I have not found the need for EU. In game settings for EU are all at very high with no AA and no vertical sync. I usually play in full screen mode at 1920X1080x32 resolution thru the HDMI port of the card on a Visio 47 inch LCD 120htz TV. However If I do run in window mode it is in 1776x1000x32 and frame rates drop by 5 to 10 fps on avg. Vid card setting are...Catalyst version 11.7 using automatic smoothvison HD anti alaising, Auto smoothvision HD ansiotropic filtering, AMD optomized tessilation, Catalyst AI set to quality with surface format optimization enabled, Mip map detail set to performance,Vertical sysnc is on unless application specifies, Anti alaising mode is set to performance in multi sample mode, and open GLsettings are in triple buffering mode. Taskmanager reports EU to use 20% avg processor time and sits at 3.2gig mem used under normal play. It does however go to 3.3 gig in CH and when standing in certain areas will creep up. Hopefully there is something usefull in all that as that is all I could think of tohelp with this.
Right now Celeste Harbour is totally unplayable for me , HUUUGE LAGGGS.This starts right after last Arcadia update. My conf: Nvidia GTX280 , 4GB RAM , Intel 3.5ghz DualCore. PS I have same lags inside malls and other buildings of EU,and this is only lags I have in game, other staff works like a charm.
I think EU in general no matter where you were at that time was extremely laggy. Servers were reset everywhere, LAG seems to have gone away. I was seeing same thing just looking at auction house items wait 5+ min for an item description.
FPS: 50~ Graphics Card: PNY GeForce GTX680 CPU: i5-2500k RAM: 8G @ 1600/ 7 latency EU Graphics Settings:Very High Full screen mode: Yes Screen Resolution: 1920x1080 Further Customisation to Graphics Settings or Hardware: All "stock" settings atm I guess it WAS just my old ass rig. (Yea, I'm bragging a bit.) Tippin'
