PFEU Puny Bash

Finally after several weeks everything has alligned to make the PFEU Puny Bash a biweekly event. So I decided to make a seperate topic for this event for accumulate feedback a bit quicker and easier . This event will be setup once every 2 weeks, 2-3 days before the actual date. All mobs on the area count for the event.

Usually the Puny Bash will be on Saturdays at 18.00 game time until 19.00. Using the ingame event list you have to register for it else you wont be able to enter the event area. During the event vehicles are disabled, registration is only possible until 120 health on your avatar (health adjusted 11-06-2015). I cant disable explosive ammo usage but I would like to ask people not to use explosive ammo .

Prizes will vary depending what seems fun and what is available . Every now and again if possible I will be doing a points trivia with questions related to Entropia. Points will be acquired depending on speed of answering the question correctly . After the trivia is over the top 3 places win a prize. However it will be a prizepicking. So first place gets first pick, second pick gets to pick then and third place gets the last prize.

Nice to hear about an ongoing newbie event...

But it's me so I have to find something to complain about - hahaha.

Not like a huge issue since they are addressing two different target groups, but that's the exact time of one of 5$'s weekly events starts, since ages.

So maybe consider moving the time slightly? Like by moving it one hour earlier, any possible overlapping would be removed.

 

Actually the first Puny Bash was already moved earlier then my initial intention was, due to the fact that the weekly of 5$ was at 20.00 originally. So I am not going to change my time again, but seeing as both events target totally different players I dont expect to see a problem .

However if player feedbacks asks for a timeswitch due to availability then I will gladly do that

 

Small update regarding the lost Puny Bash from over a month ago....

I have an ingame ticket running and had contact with Mathias who said he would try his best to get back with an answer within a week (which was 2 weeks ago). Neither of these options have resulted yet into any form of communication let alone an answer. So for those who have been asking about it, thats what it is. Perhaps we are gona have to wait another month before we see any kind of progress.

The Puny Bash today was fun however...... we ran out of creatures really quickly (27 minutes with about 26 hunters). So we essembled at the end together to bring a message to the Devs if they are reading this....



Hopefully this should help and I hope that people who agree with this will make a post here or at least "like" or "agree" with our outcry

 

Aw, the respawn did get broken again?

That was also the reason that the Puny Events were stopped before: hopefully it can be fixed quicker this time.
I remember how frustrating it was, to spend the majority of the Event time searching for any Puny to kill.
And then when finally finding 1, see 6 other green dots running for that same single red dot.
Which made people very irritated: not really funny.

It's a great Event for starters, and it would be shame if it has to be put 'on hold' again.
So yeah: 'outcry' voice +1.

sad but true, no mobs to shoot is not what i signed up for.
it was bashing i came there for and it was not enough bashing material at hand.

mighty god of arkadia(does he have a name yet?) please may you have the power to make the punys a bit more promiscuous thus they have lots of children we can beat to death.

and when i´m already praying, may Lootius fill ´em with lots of stuff too.:biggrin2:

 

The PFEU Puny Bash was great fun!
I agree a higher respawn rate would've been nice.

Thanks to the low respawn I got 6-8 punies underwater, thought they were hornets above lake on my radar I was wrong.
After the event i thought it was odd, so I investigated and then swunted under water for an hour or so.


Sorry I don't have any screenshots during event.
But I highly recommend everyone try the PFEU Puny Bash.
Too bad I missed the part/chat about after hunt party...


PS. Now that the Lake's "easter egg" air pocket is known and large enough... maybe consider starting an event from under the lake?

I went back today and mined under the lake, spawned vehicles, & learned sliepnir quickly floats upwards.
Unfortunately that's not a pet carabok behind me. It just respawned when i took screenshot.


Let me say again that I'd never have found this easter egg if it wasn't for the PFEU Puny Bash.
And that the Bash was loads of fun, I got lots of skills, and (of course) some loot from punies too.

Yes - Lizzy pking in the lake is also one to have fun with - not in the PFEU Bash ! !

The 2 events so far I have held here have actually had mobs left ! but then we havent limited health and shall we probably say some havent been all that active shooting the correct mobs.

But hey were having fun and so hope your event mobs come right as can be annoying when they run out. it might be a case that you have to limit tickets ! this could however cause its own issues and problems - maybe charge 1 ped ticket and refund when players turn up to event.

Its extra admin on the organiser admittedly I have also seen one or two times mobs compleatly regen when an event starts - thats quite an interesting one when you have it down to 1/3 event starts and its back at full health

One issue you might have is people arriving early to the event and shooting before you arrive.
we had probably 15 - 16 active hunters and spawn held up ok but a lot were been taken down 15 mins before the start time.

We were getting mob regens in the area in the event time though.

 

Yes I agree Sally, Ticket will probably have to be limited even more. It was limited to 60, but we had 27 active hunters (give or take 1-2 swunters) running about during the event. So most likely I would have to limit the amount of tickets to 20 participants. Which does kind of suck tbh. I do like the idea of putting 1PED entrance fee on the event which people can get refunded once they show up for the event to participate . It kind off prevents people from signing and not showing up then meaning the tickets will likely be used.

 

I don't think a limitation of tickets should be done, as I see the puny event as an event anyone can join if they wish.

It might be down to the times, I don't know how long your events are, but 30 minute events are good enough for players to keep the spawn going. During my birthday events the spawn was fine - I also ran around randomly handing out rep and posting where there was a nice grouping of mobs. Maybe the latter you should try, or have some one running around for you to post locations where there are still a nice amount of mobs to hunt.

If all else fails, then I would suggest you contact the A-team and see if there is a way the spawn regen rate can be increased when there is an event on the event area.

 

Thanks for the the tips Lizzy, however the running around giving pos for mob spawns I did so already. Literally there was almost nothing alive. Perhaps making the event last only 30 minutes might be an idea, since now its 1 hour. So I will look into it. And yes, the pic made with some of the participants up top is kind of the message for the A-team to perhaps increase respawn rate during event times.
Contacting them directly atm I dont want to do, since they are also still handeling the lost Puny Bash event from some time ago. So I am hoping enough people will respond here and like that specific post. So that when the A-team has time and stumbles upon this thread that they see what the issue is and fix it when they got time
I will seriously consider the tip of making the event last shorter, rather do that then limit the tickets even more, ty for that one
