Visual Overly bright lights flashing on and off... just me? So I have this weird situation that the lighting on A is really odd/off. Anyone else have this? I run on max settings on a nvidia 260gtx I find that what happens is say for example when running in one direction there is a "light" that is so bright that it makes my avatar glow like the elven queen from Lord of the Rings. When I turn around the "light" is not there. There is a very definitive point where it flashes on and off with minor or no movement. I will post some screen shots and example location a bit later. I asked a passing guy if he had same issue and he said no... but was running on low settings... I've felt the light on A was generally really bad but now I am wondering if its just me... and infact a bug? I've had no issues on other planets.... and have updated drivers etc.... I'm running on very high settings and get the lighting bug all the time; depends on direction facing. Really prominent in CH, at bar, etc. There are a couple threads already, and I believe A-Team is looking into to it, but may be low on the prio list if too complex for easy fix.
Did you say you only see these flashing lights when you're very high? Or on very high settings? Seriously, though, I don't *usually* don't see it on low or medium which is usually all I can use comfortably.

This thread is possibly one with the most info on what I believe you are describing Wistrel (correct me if I misunderstood). Seems the fix will be in the next PP update for Arkadia at least. Welcome to Ark and the forum as well PS I tend to run on medium settings, but still get this in shops and apts, and at Celeste Harbour.
Well I don't have the flashing light problem but I do have an overly bright avatar, sky and all sorts of ultra bright glowing laser fire from rifle... These are all only when running shading on High or VHigh in the daytime on Arkadia. The beam from the VSE is a bright green cloud along with the steam from it. My avatar glows so much there is no definition to the clothing texture... Frustrating to have a gfx card that can handle this and get nothing but nuclear glow. It's okay at night tho. Not too bad but still enough to be annoying. Since it's cosmetic and can be managed by setting the shading to medium I'm not expecting it to be any better anytime soon.
