Ostelok Description: The Ostelok is a ground dwelling bird species that lives in large groups. Whilst not overtly aggressive, they can be dangerous when provoked. Little is known about it's diet; however it seems willing to eat anything. It's heavy beak combined with extremely strong neck muscles makes it's downward thrusting strikes especially dangerous. The Osteloks' long powerful legs give it the ability to run for hours on end without tiring. Thanks for the info, it's added to the list. Oh, and for the Ostelok hunters out there: did you see that these birdies dropped a Gravis GLP-27 this week? Great to see that Unlimited items are dropping from a bit smaller mobs too.
I just looted a [Scott & Barlow LR-4 (L)] from a Ostelok dominant, also looted [Paint Can (Turqoise)] from them
Thanks both for posting the info: it's been added to the OP. Also added the killpoints for Stage 6. There are still other locations to check and add, aprox (?): Ostelok Small maturities: (30700, 9050) Ostelok Medium maturities: (31800, 9230) Ostelok Big maturities: (31870, 13020) / (32000, 13310)
Is it just me or are Ostelok (on Quarry server) painfully difficult to hit (with power fist) despite standing right next to them? It's as if I need to face them to be able to hit them. Sideways or behind them usually starts a mob dance. I've also noticed (understatement!) lots and lots of 'out of range' messages when using a Piron PBR-0 (L) as a tagger. I would go to Fuel Depot to prevent possible lag but there's mostly higher maturities that I don't want to target (yet).
Noticed some globals on Ostelok by Shared Loot - is there such a thing or someone's just messing around? I've never seen a puny ostelok either tbh.
No, those are people messing around (you can see that by the globals being on the Ostelok page and not on the (Shared Loot) page.
