Oro Description: Although relatively small, the Oro is quite prominent and distinctive, due to the large crest upon it's head. Liberation Fleet scouts soon discovered that the Oro was at it's most dangerous in large numbers, or when catching the casual colonist unaware. It has become one of Arkadia's most easily recognizable creatures. Thanks for taking the time to compare dropped loot against the list, so it has accurate updated info. It's been added to the Loot list.
Hello, Is the Oro Brain, the Oro skull I find on the loot table in Entropedia? and is there any advice on which setup can i start hunting this babies? I usually hunt Halix pretty easy now with a TT handgun + ZX sinkadous, but I also have the Z12 Barbarella + ZX Sinkadous that have eco 2.938, could I kill normal Oros young-old with that weapon setup and the adjusted harrier from the gold pack? Thank you for your time Signing out, John Frost Snow
No, the Oro Skull is not the same as the Oro Brain. Would be nice though: then I would have 40 in storage. Oro are a lot more aggressive than Halix, and hit harder: Halix - Max damage on avatar without armor (excl. crits): Young 12 hp to Stalker 50 hp. Oro - Max damage on avatar without armor (excl. crits): Young 15 hp to Stalker 60 hp. Whether you can kill them comfortably also depends on your skills like Evade. Though it is very tempting to kill as big a mob as possible, it might not always be the most eco way to go about it. Try a couple of them, and see if you can kill them naked, without 'panic' healing. Generally I don't hunt mobs if I need Armour to survive: then it just means I can't hunt that mob yet. The extra defense costs need to be taken into account too. (Plus I rather have the skills from healing, than pay Armour decay. But that's a personal preference indeed.) If you want to hunt bigger than Halix: the Dromia and Feran are in-between the Halix and Oro, HP wise. So you could try those first too. Or hunt the bigger maturity Halix: up to Stalker (180 HP). (Loot wise the Halix seem a better choice than Oro.) Also, in-between the Puny and Halix are the Ostelok and Jori: have you finished the (first) missions of those already? GL & Happy hunting.
Thank you May, I mostly have been killing Halix, I finished the 1200 mission a while ago and now I got some low end guns to start killing some puny I will be killing caraboks for skilling and finishing the missions. I might try Ostelok and Jori later, thanks for the tip I didn't know they were between the Puny and Halix Your thoughts are greatly appreciated and I will keep them in mind, the healing versus armor decay is also my preferred way to hunt so I will follow your advice. Thanks for sharing that cute drop: it's been added to the Loot list. And gratz, that is lovely Plush. :biggrin2: I didn't know this Toy even existed. Seems it's going to take me a lot longer to loot all the Plushies than I thought.
There seems to be some discrepancy, comparing this and the Entropedia entry (http://www.entropedia.info/Info.aspx?chart=Mob&id=248). Entropedia lists its damage as Young 15 hp to Stalker 60 hp.
You are absolutely right, thanks for the heads up. It's corrected now. I think I mixed it up with another mob, because the Mutated Oro lists the same damage. So initially I left it empty, and apparently ended up copying from the wrong line.
when i started Oro stage 3 i was curios about kill point values and could not find any info but now i am in kill point mission so here are the values if anyone interested Killpoint values (Stage 6) Young - 10 points Mature - 12 points Old - 14 points Provider - 17 points Guardian - 19 points Dominant - 23 points Alpha - 27 points Old Alpha - 30 points Prowler - 35 points Stalker - 40 points
