Saw the thread for the sale (with 50K PED starting bid) at http://arkadiaforum.com/threads/firebird-limited-edition-sales.13975/
shortly before this post announcing the weekly sale of 20 of these.
Auctioneer knows nothing about it, i.e the auction is late or gone.
Would infer that Ned bought it at buyout assuming the first one went on auction as scheduled, or alternatively he is doing some marketing for it.

 

Dylan has now announced the auction at http://arkadiaforum.com/threads/firebird-limited-edition-sales.13975/#post-105801, so Ned is probably doing some marketing for the plane, or has 'liberated' one from the IFN, i.e. is doing some marketing for the smugglers.

 

Would have been nice if the story was that Ned stole some from IFN and is now able to give them out when you complete missions / tasks for him.

 

It would have to be a very significant mission series to justify a 50K PED reward.

 

i was told there's a privateer in auction for like 40k, why should someone want to pay more for less? :biggrin2:
