Hello everybody, Today I decided to set myself a goal in Arkadia. You see for as long as I've been in this universe, I've always worn my OJ's and never had any fancy clothes. The most import reason for me was that i don't like to carry on extra weight while mining, but since strength affects the amount of weight we can carry these days that doesn't hold me back anymore. I think a profit of 2k should be enough for some very nice clothes, but we'll see where i end up when the clothing release is here. I'm a very strong believer in getting 90-95% tt return (depending on how you do maths) on activities in the long run, so even with the starting economy it should be possible to profit after selling the loot for markup. I will both hunt and mine and keep records here. Unfortunately my hunting will focus on Oro since i want to finish the mission for some masochistic reason. Since Oro generally aren't a good mob to hunt, that will give me some losses, but those should be easily compensated by the mining trips. First hunting run: Equipment used P4a+a201 (i know, i know, not very eco) Armor: none Fap: none TT used: 119,13 TT return: 125,99 markup looted: 0,5 ped Interesting loots: Herman LaW 101-Desert (30 ped tt), Manta K-2 (13 ped tt), 126 blazer fragments, some semi-rare extractors and paints. Loot was way better then i would have thought, but it's nice to start with some luck *note: if/when i sell the interesting loots I'll add the markup to the project total. Results for this run: profit: 7,36 peds tt return: 106% next trip: mining!
Harmony, I'm going to pop this into the Hunting section as its set out much like a log and you've opened it with a hunting run. Could I suggest that you do a similar one in the Mining section and provide a link to either in your OP. Also before enyone jumps on the soapbox and quotes this rule: let it be noted that I am not only giving permission for it to be done this way, but also suggesting it. If Harmony was selling something then that would be a different matter entirely. Alternatively, you can leave it here as one thread. Decided against hunting or mining section since i do both, decided against two different threads since the total outcome in tt% might vary too much. So i just figured I'd post in the general section and leave the tough choice of if and where to replace it to our forum officials
Mining this time: Equipment used: Terra Master 1 tt used: 150 peds tool decay: 3,67 peds tt return: 134,42 peds %tt return 89% A nice run, which should be break even or a small profit after markup. note 1: for personal reasons i don't include tool decay in the tt return % note 2: I will wait till have a few bigger stacks before selling resources so will add markup later in following posts Interesting loots: nothing in large quantities but a bunch of different resources with nice markups. I have a feeling the terra master 1 decays more then some people added on wikipedia, so will do another mining run next and compare it with the Ziplex Z1 Seeker.
Another mining run: Equipment used: Ziplex Z1 Seeker tt used: 150 peds tool decay: 2,4 peds tt return: 112,79 peds %tt return 75% Ohh well can't be profit every time. I did notice however that the ziplex decays less then then the terra master 1. Since i have no clue about the different depths in Arkadia i'll stick to the ziplex for now.

Me too, but i have high hopes for the clothing VU a hunting run: Weapon: Herman LAW 101(l) + a101 Armor/FAP: none tt used: 25,85 tt return: 24,02 markup loot: 0,2 1,63 ped loss and 93% tt return. A nice return, although i wonder if can ever finish the 12k mission without losing my sanity.
two more mining runs today. first run: Equipment used: Ziplex Z1 Seeker tt used: 250 peds tool decay: 2,21 peds tt return: 230,08 peds %tt return 92% Second run: Equipment used: Ziplex Z1 Seeker tt used: 250 peds tool decay: 3,15 peds tt return: 336,34 peds %tt return 134% Interesting finds: a 111 ped belkar global, and found some shells on the beach (ok not real shells, but i mean the graphics, which looked really nice!)
Noticed hunting runs hurt little bit. Not sure your level but recomend trying the Hadraada young to old, or the provider to stakers. I have had several nice runs young droping lots 20-30 ped few globals. The provider to stalker good global rate have had 5 gobals in 200 ped run. Don't go by tracker stats most globals are not listed. Not enough running program on planet at all times. Good Luck
Thanks for the tip, i however am determined to finish the 12k oro mission before heading out to other mobs. I want to have finished all the missions there are. Will check them out in 11k kills *sighs* though
Two more mining runs: tt used: 250 peds tool decay: 3,02 peds tt return: 265,8 peds %tt return 106% tt used: 250 peds tool decay: 2,62 peds tt return: 252,17 peds %tt return 101% And a hunting run (Breer p4a+a201): tt used: 119 peds tt return: 77,01 peds Markup return: 0,8 peds % return 65% Some very nice mining runs, and i guess the bad return on Oro was to be expected since i used a gun that is too big for them. Luckily some of my resources sold (Belkar for 30 ped markup and Lyst for 10 ped markup). Thanks to the buyers this project is at a profit of 19 peds so far
You could change that if you helped.. but looking at the "Arkadia stats" you do not...... Its fair enough to complain about something if you help to change it, but it is a bit pathetic to cry about an issue - but not to help rectify it your self....
