Monthly Mêlée all the Way!

Hello my fellow Mêlée-Arkadians,

I'de like to start organizing a monthly mêlée gathering on Arkadia every last weekend of the month. Everyone, from the first day colonists to the 10+ years übers are welcome to join. I'll make a team and it depends on the team what we will hunt.
This is a public-event in the way that everyone is invited. This is not a sponsored event, ie. there is nothing to win.

The team-rules & event-rules are very simple:
1) It will take place in the weekends with the last sunday of the month, somewhere between friday evening and sunday evening. The start date and time will be announced each month.
2) Every-one is invited. Have fun and invite your friends to share the fun.
3) Only use mêlée weapons, shooting is a capital offense! Not even taggen is allowed.
4) Your skills don't matter, it's cool wether you use a MAKO FAL-1 from the TT, or an über weapon, tier 8.x with enhancers and stuff.
5) Team-rules will be set to 'Damage, stack share' and the sharing of (good) items is encouraged.
6) It has an open ending, ie. the team continues as long as we want.
7) To try to get globals from as many Arkadian creatures as possible (in time).
8) Bring your own weapon, put on your own armour and heal yourself.
9) Oh ... and things are subject to change ...

Love it. I now why its at the weekend but weekdays suit me better as I work away from home, so it will keep me out of the hotel bar!!

January 24th was the first Monthly Mêlée all the Way!

16:30 Beladoth
In a small team of four hunters we got to the Beladoths wich went pretty nicely. Scored four globals, one containing a full TT Piron PLP-52 (L). It took us a long time to find them, because we started on the other side on Sentosa believing them to be there. Plus, we intended to hunt Otorugi, but found these instead. They hit hard and often and although these were the big maturities it feels like the Mutated Beladoths are weaker.

17:45 Teladon
Next was the Teladons, but that proved to be a little mistake this time. We started with the young ones and gradually upped the maturity till we cutted the big Stalkers to pieces. But the Mêlée Gods weren't pleased with our offers.

I set my alarm to wake up at 655 for the event...just couldn't get out of bed....if only it was an hour later.

 

Friday, february 20th was the second Monthly Mêlée all the Way! And it was a great one with our first HOF.

We started with five going after my failed intuition that the Miner Bots are a good mob to hunt, especially the big boys. We ended quite soon because we all (?) crashed out of the game and were already talking about going for something better. I don't know the experience of others, but I feel that whenever I hunt them, there just isn't anything to find?

22:00 Huon
After the CTD of the Badger_710Rs we decided to try those other miners in the Underground. I think we only got a loot on the first mob and then six or seven in a row were no-looters. Asking in Ark.Chat we realized that the Underground was unavailable from above. That's when we went for the Huons with a bigger and better team.
First we killed a few small ones and got our first global from a mature. They dropped like flies and we quickly moved to the strong Huons. Those Stalkers hit hard, at one point we were decimated over and over again by two. One of these bigger Huons gave out the first Mêlée all the Way HOF, hurray!
