Crafting Explosives gives MA direct revenue - Nanocubes comes from the TT.

How about if Explosives where made of, say, 3 different ingredients. 40% Nanocubes, and then 30% of something found mining, 30% of something found hunting.

MA would still have some direct revenue. But also indirect revenue, and importantly this model could revitalize things for us all.

There would be something in hunting and mining loot that A.) needed be common and B.) there would be a market for.

If this made the crafting more expensive, crafting returns could (should) be adjusted to balance it.

More trading/hunting/mining also makes revenue for MA (decay, auction fees).

I see Explosive crafting as it is boring. A ingame game that is a kind of slot machine... there's no need for the amount of Explosive ammo made, so ouput is effectively just PED. And the ingredient is effectively just PED as well.

By adding a mix of looted stuff into the recipe, circulation would result. Never a bad thing in any economy, really...

    cheers, eras

The problem would be if they did that the direct revenue would drop. They would have to make it back somehow, would you be happy with higher auction fees, more decay, dearer ammo etc to make up the shortfall? With the amount of EP crafting that goes on 24/7 the difference between 40% and 100% will be a serious amount of money to make up.

MA don't get revenue from TT machine purchases. The TT machine is just a device for transforming ped into some other form. The benefit to MA comes in two streams. 1. the deposits made by players (revenue), 1. decay and other fees reducing the volume of peds in game (reduction of contingent liability).

So it wouldn't really cost MA anything to have used EP ingrediants that have MU.

yepp, second Kikki. I think the end result in MA revenue would not differ much, but PED (stuff etc) would cycle before it all ends in coorporate spreadsheets - and I think that would be good for all parts...

There are 99% of other blue prints that use mining and hunting resources.
EP BP is only one to bypass parasites (resellers).
EP BP is only one -at least one evident or rare one - as an attempt of the lowering of inflation in last 15 years.
MA usually worked opposite -ie worked hard to increase prices in all past years and with that cost to play went up to the sky.

Just remove ability to sell ammo to tt which would force more to use crafted ammo and also to rethink how they use peds because a move like that should impact ALL ammo, not just explosives

Yes sad to say but you know this isn't true. If this was we wouldn't see EPs as they are now. MA is trying to get more players in to just spend money and not have to work to get to the items needed. I did a chart on PCF showing how well EP are doing right now and as such, MA will not be replacing how they work for a long while now. More or less because of EPs Crafting has gone up 200% in the total amount of crafting globals. That is direct without MU. It's sad but the way we are going.

(data from 69 months with a total of 706097 crafting globals recorded)

Well what I wrote is true. TT purchases don't affect MA revenue.

You on the other hand are arguing that the the current EP design is very popular and has generated increase activity. I don't have any data that would allow me to dispute that and I would agree that MA are very unlikely to change EP ingrediants now.

I suspect (without any research whatsoever) that the increase in crafting activity would be accompanied by a corresponding decline in mining activity.

I guess with all the data I have I could go all the way and show all data and not just the crafting side for the last 5.75 years. I mean I got like 1.6GB of data that need to have something more done with it.
