I just wanted to let everyone know(and vent a little), Im leaving Arkadia indefinately. The economy and the drops have not been kind to me AT ALL. For example, did almost 3-4k halix and didnt get a single weapon!! Besides that, drops are ridiculous!! Sadly, Arkadia has been a dissapointment, if it wasnt for my mentor in Arkadia, I would have ragequitted quite some time ago!! Au revoir!!! Auswierdersen!!
If you think its any better on caly you are mistaken. Shrap makes up 80-90% of all drops. The rest is oil with a tiny % being weapons or specific components. MA has gone full bore on armatrix. Such an odd total flip from full bore on looted weapons.
Some time ago MA skewered with the droprates of all planet specific items. On Arkadia those are hides, weapons and arkoins. Now with the ArMatrix no one is really getting any guns anywhere. Sad to see you go. As Svena said, loot on Calypso is not all that exciting, the plus side is that it's easier to build stacks of low MU loot (oils) and you get a lot of shrapnel. Also if I may add, you are throwing some shade at the loot on Arkadia, but MA is in control of droprates. On top of that, in the months of May and June a lot of people report poor returns, have been for years, most claim it is because of migration that's around the corner. When you are on Calypso, I suggest you read a lot of posts on PCF and learn the dynamics of the game as it will help any player understand things just a little bit more.
Good morning. Been almost 2 weeks in Caly and getting back just to report my findings. So far, everything is better than what I experienced regarding drops. I was really disappointed about Arkadia, because I could not get drops that would balance my expenses in ammo. I was getting average drops of .5 ped and the rare 1ped drop. Now in Caly, my current experience with drops is that the average drop that Im getting is around 1 to 1.5 ped and this lets me hunt without having to deposit. Also the hof rate in caly is bigger than what I got in Arkadia, so far Ive gotten 2 hofs in a week as opposed to none in a month in ark
This isn't news sadly enough. I could give you an explanation as to why that is but I think you can get to the correct conclusion yourself knowing the Planet Partners can not manipulate how much loot drops where.
These findings are damning, yet for me it's even more of a motivation to prefer the outer planets. While there is no good reason to throw money down a sinkhole, I'm even less inclined to feed such bias. There are two possibilities: Either there is a flaw in the system's design which creates this imbalance, or it is the result of corruption. I don't want to assume the latter without further evidence. But our devs sure have statistics, and since MA has published official return percentages after 2.0 which were also named target figures, maybe the Ark team could say a word if their own measurements are in line with that or not. If they are, it would mean that there must be as many players with better results as there are with worse, and perceived bias come from the fact that the happy ones speak up less often. If they are not, there would be an urgent reason to talk on managerial level. At any rate, publishing official return stats like quarterly would settle the neverending rumours.
You are not the only one who left ark for its bad return.i myself is ark born and now living in caly.No matter what mob i hunt loot returns are way bad and unreasonable in hunting but for mining i always prefer ark. I hope we get some better skill rewards for mobs on ark as well for the ones in place is not worth the grind.only my view though
Not a fair comparison for the returns. Checking entropialife.com theres 2 Yigaels. One has been doing low maturity Halix (30 to 60hp) and is now doing Molisks 180 hp +. The other has been doing Halix (same) and is now doing Prototype Droka Gen 5 120 hp.
True, the statement above citing absolute returns per mob without even relating hp is misleading. I just assume he does have enough experience to have that figured out. What counts is how much playtime you can get out of cycling your funds. This report isn't the first in its vein though which is why I think getting official figures for comparison would be best.
How can someone come to a conclution that all are recorded in entropia life?does it show our each kill or just globals and hofs i wonder?if its just globals and hofs how can someone say nope its all wrong they just hunt small mobs?each player has his/her own ped to play with so i respect that.pls say how much ped should i cycle to get the normal MA's so called 2.0 loot return?i just gave up on looking on the returns and play for fun is more fun that way.Reading everytime about ppls findings are not accurate at all.what i know for a fact is someones loss is another ones profit.
You can't as it shows globals, but you can take an educated guess what they are doing from what globals they are getting, and when you have seen a Yigael at Formidable Fire base you know the hp range there. Your missing the point Hitman, he was doing low maturity Halix and now is doing higher hp mobs. As he will be spending a lot more to kill each, he will get more back. To give an honest assessment he would need to have been doing the same hp on both planets, spending the same cost per kill. If I killed a few thousand 120 or 180 hp mobs on ark and another few thousand lower hp mobs on caly would it show that ark mobs are better than caly mobs? Well yes as the cost per kill and loot returns would be higher.
Yea could be slapper...but can it always be what MA realy states?i hardly see ppl say im getting more than i spent.if everyone gets more than what they spend i dnt think MA will be on business.i hv been healing great hunters and trust me they all say where are my hofs.its a business as far as i can understand and house always wins.if i keep my mind always on that 98% loot return ( what ever the ratio they states) i wouldnt be playing this game anymore.i depo here and there but im doing just fine forgetting about the losses.sorry i just dnt agree with others findings since its different from one another
Somewhere around the end of May - beginning of June my YTD return rate was just over 97% and my spreadsheet was erroring out every time I tried to add new data so I archived it and started anew. This was about the time that the mayhem event started (which I did not participate in) and I was barely breaking 90% average returns by the time it ended. My return rate is now up to 92.96% since I created the new spreadsheet which seems to indicate loot returns went up after the event. Logic would then seem to indicate that with everyone flocking to the event that the majority of 'winning tickets' in the HOF lottery were being shunted to the event players, but whether this is or isn't true is speculation. Sadly there is not enough information to make an informed decision at this time.
If I recall correctly, Yigael just wanted a higher percentage of shrapnel in loot, this was what determined a good or bad run. Most of us would rather have markup and overall good returns for the long game, as long as we can sell the loot, but it's a sandbox and everyone can have their own goals. Glad he have found more shrapnel on Caly. I've been happy with my Togolossi mission (almost done with stage 6), I've been TTing only a few of the loots, mainly shrapnel (I'm melee) and some of the 102% oils when I need to recycle the peds faster than auction can do. Small ESIs have been dropping and some other markup goodies too. I've been getting about 104% loot MU even after TTing about half the thyroid and eye oils and 80% of the shrapnel. Maybe higher, I'm too lazy to calculate all the item markups like the L weapon attachments which sell surprisingly well. Overall, it's not a bad MU for these days of shrapnel.
