Let me thank Snape and Neil for their help in making this thread possible. I've been playing for a week now so I have a lot to learn but already joined a Social Club and quit crashng my VTOL and jeep.........my Alienware Hoverpod got eaten though at that Cove place
Was a pleasure to be able to help you out. BTW your pod can be repaired. If you don't have enough ped to buy an RK-5 repairing tool and some wielding wire then pop it out near the Quarry and there's always someone who will repair it for free as they get the skills from repairing it. Looking forward to catching you out and about in the wilds....Add me to FL if you like (see my profile for my avatar name) and I would advise finding yourself a Mentor. We have a number of good ones here on the forum (Neil being one as well) and they are broken down by timezone so to make it easier for you to find someone in game around the normal times you play. Catch ya round
Thanks to all, thanks Snape. My Mentor did fix up a jeep I bought on auction and gave me some wire since I had obtained one of the repair kits in the auction too. but since I was told it couldn't be repaired or sold I tt'ed the Hoverpod. may have been a noob mistake but it's all part of the learning curve I guess. I'm not a youngster so I can bide my time. I don't want it now even though I've spent on wheels to get around and been buying fuel, went crazy for a bit but have settled in. My plan is to dabble in into all three trades. I first mine, then hunt, then take inventory and see what I can produce. if nothing can be built I comeback next day and do the same. right now I'm making some mean ball bearings and O Rings.
If you are going to "dabble" in all 3 main trades then be prepared for it to get expensive..... Far too many people these days are so focussed on the monetary return in EU that they have forgotten that in essence it is still a game and is provided for entertainment. They blame the PP's and MA for "robbing them blind" when in reality both companies have costs involved in bringing this game to us. They have forgotten how to have fun and that most of the time, fun does cost money. Its not a case of how much money you spend, but how much fun you had whilst doing it. Setting your own budget is up to you and your responsibility alone, noone eleses. So as long as you have fun, it doesn't really matter what you do or what you spend as long as YOU are comfortable with it.
