Hey I'm an explorer, also as much helpfull as I can be. I was helping a friend with the questline that leads to 8 Coins and suddenly some player started shooting at us. I didn't bother at that time because that is not a PVP area. Then yesterday I was sweating when I wonder "what's on that icy part of the map", so I put my hoverpod on and headed that direction. First thing I noticed there are high level mobs there, so I kept trying to find a way aroud them and then I noticed a spaceship on that area, I tried to reach them to get some advices, maybe a help to cross the mobs, then they again started shooting me. Damn my poor hoverpod is half HP now.
Then comes the questions that really matters now just for planning:

-how much will cost (average price) for a transport similar to do that?
-how hard would be for me build my own vehicle, meaning I will hunt all necessary mats by my own?
    -what about something that flies?
-where I can get a list with all Entropia itens and wich mobs drops them?
-same as above for blueprints and / or professions?

Las but not less important. I started on Arkadia, but someone said that would be better to me to go to Calypso and even offered a free ride. So what about it?

Ummm... I don't suggest making your own vehicle. Very hard.
Going to calypso is based on your opinion. It has a lot more players though.

If your Hoverpod wasn't destroyed then don't worry, this damage can be repaired and the TT value of the pod won't have been reduced by anything.

    Now for your questions:

    1. Not sure about this question as I'm not sure what "transport" you are referring to. Bit more information here will enable me (or anyone else) to give you a better answer
    2. Difficult. Its not just materials you need, its different components and the blueprints for them as well you will need. These differ depending on the vehicle you want to make. Generally it is far easier and far cheaper to find someone else that has already done the hard yards in figuring this out OR just looking in auction for the vehicle you want. Let me know what you are looking for and I will help get you one.
    3. Same as answer 2.

    5. Same as answer 4. Entropedia is your friend for nearly everything.

As for going to Caly, well some people say that Caly is better because it has a bigger population and has been established for far longer.....On one hand this is an advantage, on the other hand it is also a big disadvantage. Personally I don't agree. I find Caly disjointed and not overly intuitive for new players (though this has improved somewhat over the years). I also find that with the bigger population you have a far higher percentage of unsavoury people.

I would encourage you to explore the universe and make the decision for yourself and take the opinions of different people with a grain of salt. I started on Caly because back in those days there was no other planet and therefore no other choice, but IF I ever had my time again, I would definitely start on and stay on Arkadia as it is by far the friendliest and easiest planet for new players (but again, this is MY personal opinion and it is heavily coloured by experiences, both good and bad, over the years)

About the transportation I was thinking something like my poor pod that at least hover, I saw some jeeps near Quarry I didn't like the look of them, and since you have pointed out that my current pod can be repaired, I remembered someone offering to annouce this kind of service for free, what again raises me a question? What it takes for me to start doing that?

    ty for the quick reply

Another point about the difference between Arkadia and Calypso is that it might be a bit more difficult to play at all on Calypso if your PC isn't of the best. I have an XP machine sporting 3GB of memory and it crashes often in busy places - so often, in fact, that I tend not to go to busy places like the Quarry very often. It's something to do with the texture graphics taking up memory.

As Calypso is a lot busier than Arkadia in general (Twin Peaks has to be seen to be believed!) this is a point against Calypso. Of course, if your machine is latest-and-greatest then none of this applies!

    Hi Murkalael,

most has been answered already, I'd like to add a few points:

    - Getting shot:
Usually you're quite safe from it, because it's not possible for other players to hurt you - as long as you are not in a PvP enabled area.
The Icy Lands in the NW is such a PvP enabled area, even one that allows looting of the poor victim. Be careful there! (The only other one on Arkadia is in the very SW of the desert. Beware, Space is PvP too!)

    - Vehicles:
At first, if your vehicle is damaged, visit the Quarry and ask in local chat if somebody wants to repair it (for free). Usually you'll have more repairmen than you need in an instant ;-)
For "something that flies", well, check entropedia. IMHO the cheapest thing possible is the Sleipnir Mk1 (C,L). You can even travel space with it if you add a thruster! (But it's very slow there ...)
Check the auction about what's the current prices.

    - Crafting it yourself:
I'd not even think of, at the beginning. Even if you manage to get the blueprint (expensive!), you'll fail this often that you'll pay a multiple of the auction price in the end.
Start crafting with low level blueprints from the TT, or with such you'll surely get for free if you ask nicely (@ Quarry: "Hi, somebody wants to dump some spare BPs?")

    - Getting a transport:
On planet, usually you'll get such for free, if you ask nicely. I'd not pay for - I'd "just have not a single PEC anymore, sry :/" if someone would ask for a fee.
Space transports usually require that you pay a part of the costs for it (it costs the pilot PEDs to do it).

    - Further information:

Entropedia has already been mentioned. It's the most important source of wisdom. Bookmark it!
Scroll down on the main page, you'll find a lot of other useful links!
One of it is a bit special, it's "Alice's Entropia guide". A bit outdated, but still agreed by nearly all as the most useful guide ever.

    - Other planets:

I'll not say much to this, it would be biased. Besides Arkadia, I'd think of Cyrene (they made some nice low cost fun things recently) and Toulan (a brand new planet). More info about the different planets can be found at EntropiaPlanets forum, the most important of the planet-independent forums.

Hope I could be helpful, be welcome!
    Have a good time!
