IFN Daily Mission and Mob Spawn - Help needed

    In the last couple a days I've faced an issue with the daily mission; since I am relatively new on Arkadia, I would like to ask for assistance for from the more experienced players as I'm ready to give up on the IFN Daily.

    Level 2 - Prospector Thugs - went relatively fine although the spot I hunted on (E of Repulse) was 3/4 full of Bandits; it tool a while longer to get the 100 kills but it was doable.

    I've started the next one - Bandits - thinking that I'll be finishing the daily 100 in no time; went back to the same spot only to find the reverse: 3/4 of the spawn were Thugs and the rest other maturities except for Bandits. I thought someone just finished their daily Bandit mission; went to do some other things and returned after an hour or so: same thing. Waited for the next day: same thing. Rinse and repeat 2 more days with the same results, but finally managed to get the 100 kills.

    At this point, I thought this particular spawn is not that good any more; I started Day 2 by visiting all 4 spawns that I knew about includind this one thinking that even if I get a few it help. 2 hours later, after all the spawns were carefully "filtered" I got a wooping 12 Bandits.

    I do like a challenge and I don't expect to find the right maturity according to my hunting plans, I don't have a lot of time to play and I am not very patient. That being said, I think the amount of time needed is way to long for my taste and availability.

    I know a lot of people are doing these daily missions and I'm wondering if anyone is willing to help me out with some advice which will be very much appreciated.

    Alternatively, if you have not seen it, the Oratan Prospector mob info thread contains a map that shows the best spawns for specific maturities. The spawns are not perfect of course, but I find them adequate. Please note that I was already on Vandals when these spawns were introduced, so I don't know how the Bandit spawns are.

    I have heard about this; personally, I think that the way the regular spawn works has a lot to do with the Secret Camp ;). It's not about the value of the money, but why should I/we pay? I understand that no one is forcing you to do these missions; I'm saying that it may deter some from completing them.
    I'll give it a try for sure if I find no other alternative.

    The first 4 spawns listed in there are the ones I've visited :); I am curious to know if others see the same behaviour: basically, you can find all other maturities except for the one you're currently need.

    Oh, there's nothing wrong. At first all prospectors were on one area only, and at some point this issue arose, then they scattered maturities around arkadia, so problem got worst, they the Lazy Programmers "devised this solution" of oratan camp to take their asses out of the line since no one seems to find where the problem is or they just want you to waste ammo for a ridiculous loot/prize

    I call it Jori Camp now and for once, I find no reason to complain about ridiculous returns :) Since I'm also a programmer, I know that they haven't been lazy creating this. Even sound works, and there are no pets of other players around, how cool is that :p

    My noob :2pec: I started playing after the IFN missions were already started. Thugs no problem , Bandits couid take me awhile to find enough to complete the mission. Thieves is where I ran into a serious ped drain ! Everything but Thieves was my experience. I did get a few globals (under 20 ped) but it did not make up for the ammo I spent on mob's that count for nothing.

    Secret Base : Yes Arkoins and bonus ammo are a wash. I can complete my stage in 20 to 30 min instead of hours. For me that is my plan, any reward at end will be bonus :biggrin2:

    So I'm Skillen and chillen

    All right... I feel a little better knowing now that it's not just me. Seems like the only reliable alternative is the Secret Camp; I'll give that a try.

    Sounds like you found an answer already, the bandits are a combination time sink and ped drain.

    1. Start at Kestrel Digsite, South
    2. Depending on how few bandits there are I might tp to:
    - Repulse Firebase, due East (but south-west of the lake)
    - Implacable Firebase, North
    3. After that I'd visit either:
    - Repulse Academy, East between ridge and lake
    - Victorious Firebase, North

    Also if it's mostly another maturity in an area then mention in ark chat, someone might drop and help.
    That worked several times for me, and the team effort made it go much faster. :)

    In my experience Bandits quickly become scarcer as about 20% other maturities spawn instead (when bandits are killed off).
    So... to recap there appears to be 3 ways to hunt em':
    a. Spend Arkoins to visit the secret camp. (time efficient)
    b. Spend Time to hunt and peck only the bandits. (ped efficient, but boring!)
    c. Spend Ammo to shoot the other maturities to make bandits respawn. (faster then b., but is it less ped then a.???)

    The Arkoins are a wash with the bonus at the end, It cost's the same as bonus no matter what stage (Very time efficient for me)

    I do not have that patience in me :biggrin2:

    For me it save's time and ped. Mob's I kill that are not in my mission count for nothing ! I may get a < 20 ped global but I can chase that on a killpoint or other mission where kills count'. My log's show me coming out better payin my way to the camp. Did I mention that I can complete daily in under 30 min ? There is also great seafood nearby.

    This is just my opinion. I am a Noob ! but I do not think I would have pursued the challenge if not for the Secret Camp option.

    Has this changed? It's been over a year since I've gone to the camp but the last 2 days I don't seem to be getting the bonus ammo. Maybe I'm missing something?

    You get bonus skills now, at the end of each daily.

    No more bonus uni ammo.
