Not sure if anyone suggest this yet. But I would like to see shop/booth that have lower item points at start. Start with like a booth that allow for 5 item points and upgradable to 10. The advantage to this would be an affordable shop that more people can buy and use. By doing this, you also create a bazaar/market that would bring in lots of potential buyers. Not many people will have the 5k to buy the recent shops but if you have many 5 item points for like 1k ped then a lot of people will buy. If there is a bazaar, I would think that you get a lot of people running around browsing different shops to find their needs. As for appartment, how about making it into instances. Start off with a tiny but affordable apt and is upgradable. A lot of people would like a place they can call home but pricing for them is a bit steep considering that it is a money sink. How about like a 50-100ped apt? I'm sure 1 of your staff studied economic before and would be able to figure out the people's want/need then gauge the supply and demand for it's pricing. Just some thought.. Berentain
I can tell you that with my many er days of experience even 20pts is kind of cramped for a shop. 5 pts would be almost useless. Which 5 items do I stock? How do I give my customers a reliable and wide range of choices. Regards, KikkiJikki
And, as an apartment owner on Caly, it doesn't take much to eat up 50-100 points. And anything less than that would seem monastic. But I agree, affordable housing would really be nice.
Yep, 200 item points isn't enough for us on Calypso either (though we make do by having two shops). And that's JUST for crafted armour.
6 item points can get you 20 (a net positive of 14 slots) for roughly 2500 ped. The shops went for 5-7k peds this time around due to location. If you notice nearly all the active shops have been filled with all availible space enhancers (Shopkeepers) Something I noticed is the less the shops went for, the less development that was put into it. Thats something to think about. Not that its the players fault. But for people wanting cheap shops all over, think about the consequence if every joe on Ark had a shop, it would turn into another empty shop situation which nobody wants to visit. We got lucky on Ark that so many dedicated players decided to take a chance on the shops and grow with Arkadia. Be careful what you wish for.
Doubtful, it's a Calypso item and rarely loots there right now but the Ark team could always make one.
