Dear community of Planet Arkadia, I have just published a tool we have been working on for some time - our beginner's guides on the forum. You can find them here. The guides are intended as a tool for new players to use, and as a reference point to refer new colonists to. We will in particular be working with the Arkadia Advisers to make sure the guides are up to date, relevant, and easy to use. We have deliberately left out some information that we intend to put into a more advanced guide at some point in future, so this is not meant by any stretch to be an exhaustive guide to all of Entropia. However, we welcome your feedback in this thread! Cheers, Cyrus
lol, +rep for whoever came up with this text: Due to the added complexity of relocating someone who is alive while maintaining their health, the process takes a full minute. Dying first makes the relocation process a lot simpler for the Revival network, thus only taking ten seconds. Some improvements i see: When i click to get the next session of the guide it opens up a new internet explorer screen for me. I would prefer it if you would spell out previous, instead of saying PREV On the crafting page there is someone who actually was insane enough to click on a level 10 blueprint with 0 skills, people might think it is a smart thing to craft with a red condition bar, and will get very disappointed. On the social page the subsections don't have any text in it (on the main screen) On the terminals and interfaces page you can't click to go to the previous/next terminal The friend list seems to be explained twice I would combine the blueprint books and blueprints page (or link them to each other) (yes yes, that's me, always something to complain about
Good basic guides, and for the more advanced one DONT forget to show how to disable "move to target" as thats very useful if you trained a bit or is using melee weapons, the bug that forced us all to turn this setting off when vehicles was introduced in EU was an awesome day. (haven't used it once in regular play since, no matter ranged or melee fighting) PS. Can I please have that smuggler gun you show? (I promise to not sell it and if I do later on I will sell it here, not like others done...)
Thanks harmony. We've sorted out your last two suggestions as follows: Culled the Friend List explanation in Terminals and Interfaces down to bare bones, and linked it to the fuller explanation in the Social section. We've linked each page up to the other, the first time each one gets mentioned.
looks good, really clear for the newb in my opinion. and nice asi-50 is that going to be my birthday gift mmm?
