GOLD RUSH ARKOIN BARON 2012

Trade 300,000 Arkoins for an Alienware X51 Desktop! THREE (3) up for grabs!

The first three people to post a screenshot evidencing their stack of 300,000 or more Arkoins will be eligible to trade 300,000 Arkoins with Community Manager Cyrus Chen for an Alienware X51 Desktop!​

Rules

1. The competition will begin immediately following Planet Arkadia Update Number 2012.5, and will end when three colonists have been deemed to have posted valid, verified screenshots as set out below.
2. Each colonist is eligible to make a winning trade with Cyrus Chen once only. Three separate winners will therefore be selected.
3. A screenshot will be deemed to be valid only if it shows all of the following:
   • a date stamp (default key U will put a date stamp in your chat)
   • a stack of at least 300,000 Arkoins in your possession (for example, in your storage or your inventory)
   • your avatar name
4. Other information can be blacked out for privacy reasons if you wish.
5. In order to post a screenshot:
   • Screenshots can be taken in a number of ways, with a variety of programs. A simple method on many computers is to press the PrntScrn key, then paste (Ctrl-V) into a program such as Paint.
   • When you have created a file with your screenshot, you can then upload it to a post by following the instructions in one of these two threads, depending on which browser you are using:
     • Uploading Images using Chrome, Firefox, IE8/9 or other supported - AJAX Plugin
     • Uploading Images using other browsers not supporting AJAX Plugin
6. The avatar names of the first three colonists to post valid screenshots in this thread will be sent to MindArk, to have them confirm the avatar did indeed have at least 300,000 Arkoins at the time of the screenshot.
7. In the event that a screenshot is found to have been forged (and in particular that the number of Arkoins was less than 300,000 at the time), that screenshot will be deemed invalid, and the colonist will be deemed ineligible. In this case the fourth valid screenshot will be verified, and so on.
8. The three winning colonists will have seven (7) days from verification of their screenshot to meet with Community Manager Cyrus Chen and trade 300,000 Arkoins for an Alienware X51 Desktop.
9. Should a winner not claim their prize within a seven (7) day period from verification of their screenshot, Arkadia Studios reserves the right to reclaim the prize.
10. What exactly is the prize?
    • The winner, upon meeting Cyrus Arkadia Community Manager on Planet Arkadia, will have the choice of either:
      a) Having the prize shipped to their preferred address, or
      b) Receiving a tradeable in-game deed which must be redeemed for the prize (by meeting with Cyrus Arkadia Community Manager as detailed above) by 30th December 2012.
    • The prize is an Alienware X51 Desktop gaming computer. It includes the computer, a keyboard and a mouse. A monitor is not included. Detailed information about the prize can be viewed here.

just curious:

If someone crafts the first golden key and splits the 1M arkoins to 2 socmembers they can redeem these 3 pcs then with the coins earned in the other event and sell the pcs for more than what the 1m arkoins are worth?

Or have the arkoins for this event to be collected on the instance gaming way only?

A small note about the way of earning the coins would be nice to prevent misunderstandings during the event.

It does seem the person who gets the million arkoins will be able to give 300,000 to two friends and they will get the 3 computers if they can get it done before anyone gets 300,000 through instances or trade.

 

it would be nice if it can be clarified before the vu hops in indeed.

if there is no further message until tomorrows update i think we can consider it as "by all means necessary".

got no problem with it at all as we dont know how much it takes to get the materials for the golden key.

it can be ofc that the gathering of the materials need alot teamplay to get it.

like a mix of treasures, arkoins, etc.

and then crafters got the risk of fail attempts to craft it also.

just in terms of having it clear to avoid that we get some "a unfair handshake thing won 3 pcs" kinda thing again.

 

Will be fun to see how many Arkoin need to make the golden key

Ark Team, this I'd qualify as a fail. After 12h since instances been released u get the first Baron ... I saw the droppin rate of arkcoins and predicted we'll have all Barons within 2-3 days, but moved faster than expected. As there's no other use yet for arkcoins, with all Barons out and no more armor in loot this gives little to no incentive to do instances ... can only hope the use of arkoins won't resemble caly's tokens ... as in ppl will really be interested in the itemz they can buy with arkoins

Having only managed three instances yesterday, and no coins seen at all in the very beginning, this is impressive! Gratz Smurf! Good luck to the next two working this hard for the computer
