Well, as Dave said in another post, Rome wasn't built in a day.

That's true, but it's also true that my inventory is full of arkadian ores that are unsold, and that's another fact.

And no, I'm not a bad seller :) if you look at the stats of arkadian ores, you'll see that the day usage is next to zero for many of them. That means they are not used. That means that my runs are useless, and my storage has several K ped of useless material.

Time is passing, and nothing changes. I can survive selling lyst and oil and azur pearl, but that won't last long.

Again, this is not a whine thread, I'd like to know if and how Dave and A-Team are monitoring the situation. Without the crafter using these ores, all becomes unsustainable.

(Look at the globals chat, the 99% of the activity is globals on Houns...)

And what ore's are we talking about?

maybe they are useful for export to other planets.
Do you have a list of some sort?

    Regards,

All arkadian ores. You name them.

Ospra, kaz, somin, quil, wenrex, veda, garcen, yule, banite, zolphic, *ALL*.

Ospra should be good for export.

The rest I really have to look into.

Ospra I guess is selling good as it's a part of welding wire BP, the rest is TT food as well as many ores on Caly, no news here.

There was a rumor we'd have belkar next week?

Arkdian economy is half working till August when we expect more BPs for hunters and miners, Arkadian vehicles and some other stuff.. maybe treasure hunting this planet is about?

I lost a few hundred PEDs here, so I'm just sitting on my butt till August, you can hardly do anything with that.

Ospra is *THE ONLY* thing people is looking for. Buying at 200%, reselling at 300%. All the rest is TT food, and this is a grave situation.

Dave said that the lack of "common" materials, belkar, iron et al should have been fixed THIS week. No VU update scheduled, no word from anybody.

This way, given that travelling in PvP space with several KPED is a suicide, the only choice is to sell anything to the TT and come back when and IF economy will start. A thing that I'd highly avoid.

yeah I found it quite disturbing that there was no update today. I really thought they had their shedule set for tuesdays now. Nevertheless the week is still long so I have my hopes up for improvements to Arkadia AND Space later this week. In the state the Entropia Universe is in right now it is of little to no interest to me. As someone wrote above I´ll just sit on my butt and wait. IIRC we had a quite similar situation a year or two ago at arround this time of the year. So I guess it´s just the hollidays slowing down the development process.

Yes, sadly I'll have to stop my mining activity too, until some news.

Time to dust off the Crossfire account LOL

I've been buying ospra and frigilite (however it is spelled) lately to grind low lvl weapon crafting. But honestly I am hanging out for the August release of texture bps so I can stop TTing hides.

Well, I managed to sell about 180 ped TT of kaz ingots yesterday at around 114%. Probably because it's used in armour BPs I suppose.

We really are waiting for BPs to drop; for example, when the oro leather texture BP drops, oro hide might be quite saleable, as it looks quite nice. :)

Ok for a one-time sell, I can occasionally sell lyst or veda too if I wait enough :) And texture BP are due NOT BEFORE august, whatever it means in time.

But if I need 5/600 ped for a decent mining run, I must rely on selling/cycling what I find; if the chain breaks, I finish like now, with ore stacked and no cash to buy amps to run. Forced to suspend by lack of market.

Crafters here are *VITAL* for miners. Hunters can go hunting huons virtually endlessly, many of them may have UL guns and dont even need to check auction, they can barely depend on repair terminal :) But miners depends on crafters, and those are NOT here, for one reason or another.

I really hope A-Team sort this out sooner than later.

I've been crafting some today (funny enough tracker didn't record any of my globals even tho I had tracker running myself... and yeah, it said it was "EU is Active.")

What I have noticed is that the prices is way too high on many of the ores and enmatters... Probably because of the crafting even which leads people to buy everything with high tt to click it and win their laptop, but for me I gave up... Prices were not good enough for crafting, paying AVG 150% for materials to get TT items or 110% value items in return just won't cut it :) .. I will be waiting for prices to drop before I do anything further with the crafting machine, I do hope it drops soon because otherwise I do not know what will happen with the activity on the planet :/

Uhm did that include ores which can not be found on Arkadia (of no importance to the local miners then)? Otherwise I have a hard time imagining what arkadian ressource could make your costs so high apart from Ospra which has been discussed before. As for the non Arkadian ores MU that is space wich fucked the MUs up but that is discussed in other threads enough already I think. Also the MUs of those will INCREASE as long as space exists in its current form and not decrease. So maybe it´s better to focus on crafting with Arkadian ressources if you didn´t do that already.

Well Xerox, the problem is that some arkadian blueprints also use normal ores that aren't found in Arkadia itself, or only found in very low quantities, and a lot use ospra too. As a crafter it is almost impossible to get close to break even on 99% of the arkadian blueprints.

On Arkadia i have crafted away around 60k peds so far, of which in total 300 peds was with arkadian ores. And yes i've got all the Arkadian component blueprints, and i look daily at auction for weapon/armor/amp blueprints that can be used.

So, Arkadia does have a problem.

Ores lootable on Arkadia, but most of them are very rare or very low supply it seems.. So it is either a low drop rate, or not close enough far miners here.... Prices simply too high to craft anything and that keeps me away from it considering how much I have lost since Arkadia launch.. :(

Yes it seems that the system is not balanced out very well. I noticed that myself when I tried to find a weapon BP I could click. What really confuses me is that the ingredients of the Arkadian BPs seem to encourage interplanetary trading of stackables. Whilst lootable space does the exact opposite. Maybe two different persons or teams worked on those parts and they didn´t coordinate their work very well? Because in the current situation we can only sit on our butt and wait for change. I wonder why MA believes that will be profitable.
MindArks ways are very mysterious maybe some guidance would be helpfull... :dark:

It's been going down hill since the second week of Ark's existence. Everything was peaches and cream at that time and the economy was growing. Ores sold and so did crafted Ark components. As soon as all the bps dropped, ppl quit buying crafted components. As time passed, MU on ores dropped it took me longer to sell less and less. I hung on until the space VU knowing I was taking a chance. After the space VU, the Ark vehicles bp book was still empty and the slide continued. I stayed for 2 days after the space VU and said "screw it" and caught a ride back to Caly before the pirates get organized.

It cost me 40 ped to TP to Ark from Caly. It cost me 10 ped in fees and 500 ped in lost MU to get back to Caly but it was worth it and I have made up the ped....because I can mine -> craft -> auction and repeat. Caly has an economy, Ark does not.

I wish Ark well and hope things get better. It was very fun to explore and hang out for the first month but I won't return unless things pick up.

Well i wouldn't go that far, seeing that the amount of pages on auction is growing every day for the last week, crafted stuff sells on auction, so do a lot of resources (i for sure bought a lot). It's just mainly the non arkadia-specific stuff that sells for me.

As I have stated in other threads before -- I believe this is by design to encourage decay. The scary thing is that it seems to be also sacrificing the logevity of the entire project (EU)... almost as if they are milking us for what is left without a care about tomorrow. Maybe something or someone is one its/his way out.

Its funny how when folks dont understand something they assume it is because of somone elses foolishness... the folks that dreamed up EU probably wouldnt be seen under the words 'foolish' in the dictionary...
