Since they already exist it should be an easy implementation.

    So how about it?

All planets should have these missions eventually, currently the system is in its early test phases in the Calypso system, it will roll out to planet partners from there.

    http://www.planetcalypsoforum.com/forums/showthread.php?311400-Dev-Notes-20-Mission-System&highlight=codex

    Quote
Planet Calypso will be the first planet to introduce the new mission system. The other Planet Partners will transition to the new system soon afterwards, once any issues are resolved and any necessary tweaks and adjustments are implemented. End Quote
see also #165 and #360 replies from Dennis (MindArk)

So the control over how and when it is rolled out to other planets rests wholly with MA not the planet partners, as MA will need to ensure the system is balanced across the universe, so that there is some equivalence to the rewards for the difficulty of the mobs.

Personally I feel that the system has been remarkably trouble free and that the delay in roll out is more about keeping the majority of players on Calypso than about tech problems. But who knows what goes on in the dark recesses of MA HQ.. I could be wrong

I know old system will be delete 1 year after codex introduced but does that mean all planets will have 1 year from the day codex comes there or it will be delete on all planets on september next year ?

The following is form the op of http://www.planetcalypsoforum.com/forums/showthread.php?311400-Dev-Notes-20-Mission-System
    please check out phrases highlighted.

Implementation As this is a completely new system that will replace the current mission system, progress in existing missions unfortunately cannot be carried over into the new system. Therefore, we are taking this opportunity to give all participants an alert to the upcoming changes several months in advance so that they have time to complete any active missions.

There will also be a grace period where both the new and old systems will work in tandem, during which time kills on qualifying creatures will result in progress on both the old and new versions of the Hunting Challenge missions. This grace period will extend approximately one year from the implementation of the new mission system.

    Example
You have the current “Iron Atrox IV” mission active. After the implementation of the new mission system, for each kill of a qualifying Atrox creature, you will receive progress on the new Atrox Hunting Challenge mission as well as on the legacy "Iron Atrox IV" mission. If you fulfill the requirements for the Iron Atrox IV mission during the grace period, you will receive the usual reward, but you will not be able to begin the legacy Iron Atrox V mission. Instead, you will automatically receive the next stage of the (new system) Atrox Hunting Challenge mission.

When the one year grace period has elapsed, all missions from the old system will be disabled for all participants. Progress will no longer be possible for the deprecated missions, and uncompleted missions will not provide any rewards.

There will be a similar grace period of one year from the implementation of the new mission system for Planet Partners. More info and specific dates will be provided as the Planet Partner implementation draws nearer.

Communication brought to you by those that never tell a lie or miscommunicate, correct?...

The NPC was put on Arkadia...

just one example of many over the years... could make a lot more examples here, but what's the use, we've all seen it and can probably mention at least a handful of such examples. (mainly just giving that particular example since it is directly tied to Mindark and Arkadia's always truthfully delivered as promised history)

Whether the quotes I showed turn out over time to be accurate or not, remains to be seen. They were simply answers to the questions asked. Since the current MA leadership has changed since the ComPet debacle etc, and they seem to be back concentrating on the core game, lets give them the benefit of the doubt for now

So the Codex has rolled out on Toulan so evidently in MAs mind it's good to go. Any whispers on when it/if it might hit Ark?

Really absolutely in no rush to have teh codex here, I am on Ark because there is no codex.
Even a half arsed Story in the Cahllenges is better than codex, one has no choice and gets the "reward" forced on one.
I rather have some rewards like figurines, decorations or certificates.

Skill wise it only gave me a roughly 5% boost, PED wise it was a drain on my card.
There is no such thing as a free meal!
Somebody has to pay for 150PED worth in skills and it is surely not MA or any PP.

And losing all the archievements from the irons really was a bummer, they never stated that anywhere.
But then again, MA said that the "irons" where going away and not that also the bronce, silver and golds.

Moneywise MA and the PP will surely make more, higher skilled players also means higher profits, because almost all will want the highest usable gun possible.
At level 91 ranged laser DMG now, I can cycle 1K ammo in an hour without problems and roughly need a new LR-80 every second day.
And once you got addicted to higher reload rings and high DPS, you even hunt Caraboks with it.

Does that mean that with the Codex there are ZERO story line missions? Tend to think that would make for a pretty boring world. "Step right up and do your homework. Get a grade. Repeat"
