This is really a question for Dave Dobson or the devs. You'll be aware of previous posts about the scarcity of muscle oil in loot and the subsequent impact on crafting. Previous response is you were going to followup with MA. Can you please provide an update on the status? Has MA aggreed to make a change? Has that change been implemented? I'm not asking what additional mob(s) it drops from. I just want to know if it's worth going hunting or if I need to order in still. Thanks, KikkiJikki
For what it's worth KJ I tested the lower mobs on patch night and the night after, carabok puny, halix, oro, hadraada, and both new mobs. No muscle oil on any of them. I passed this on to Cyrus so hopefully they will be checking back with MA on the situation, as well as the low bp drop rate all around, crafting remains difficult at best, but thankfully more ores on auction it seems
Thanks Lee. I'm off hunting longtooth for the next week but I am keeping an eye out for any news about muscle oil.
I think dave answered the OPs questions in the interview very well. Certainly worth checking out since it gives away that the loot tables are indeed based on the stats of the mob they belong to. So we just need to get a mob that has the correct stats to be dropping Muscle oil.
So I just listened to that part of the interview and sounds like it depends on existing mobs stats adjustment or intro of new mobs that are in the muscle oil sweet spot. This makes me sad because it basically means status quo in the short to medium term.
