PLEASE DO NOT REPLAY TO THIS THREAD - IT IS A WORK IN PROGRESS - JUST POST IT TO NOT LOSE THE WORK IN CASE OF POWER FAILURE I did this analyze for myself, but thought that since I did it anyway, there's no reason to not share it... So what's the best healing tools options for a new player? But let's first define what "best" means - since, as a new-ish player, we will not hunt big mobs and need big in-combat heals, the most important thing we should look for in a healing tool is a tool that is as eco as possible. That means having a hpp (heal per pec) as high as possible; at (quite) similar values hps (heal per escond) and pure heal value matter to, but most important thing is hpp. That being clarified, let's get to work - we can find a full list of healing tools on our trusted friend Entropeda: http://www.entropedia.info/Chart.aspx?chart=FAP - there just set the condition that heal < 50 (anything more than that would definiltey be overkill at our level and result in overhealing) and sort the table (downwards) based on hpp (we'll look at all options better thatn 10 hpp which is the cost of the TT FAP and starting from bottom and working our way to top). 1) EMT Kit Ek-2600 Adjusted - not counted because of very high acquisition cost Spoiler Simply awesome tool (mostly because of the high hps and heal which makes it nice for both in-combat and out-of-combat tool), but definitely not a new player tool, since the price for it is really, really high (a few good thousands PEDs). 2) EMT Kit Ek-2350 Adjusted - not counted because of very high acquisition cost Spoiler Simply awesome tool (mostly because of the very high hps), but definitely not a new player tool, since the price for it is really, really high (a few good thousands PEDs). 3) GYRO FAP-2 Smuggler - to be considered Spoiler HPP: 10.00 HPS: 6.42 Heal: 20.00 Being quite a rare drop, and an efficient healing tool, the price is quite high, starting somewhere at ~150 PED from what I've seen. Its strongest point is by far the highish value of the heal, which makes it a goodish emergency fap too. Mainly due to the price, I wouldn't really recommend it as a newish player FAP, but it is for sure a good option if budget is not really an issue. 4) GYRO FAP-10 (L) - not counted because of low HPP (when counting MU) Spoiler HPP: 10.00 (9.09 counting MU) HPS: 8.75 Heal: 30.00 Craftable, going for ~110% MU. It's a somehow decent in-combat tool, with a high heal value and decent hps. However, as newish players, we don't really need a in-combat tool, and the cost to use is rather high when counting in account the MU, so I wouldn't recommend it. 5) GYRO FAP-2 (L) - TT option Spoiler HPP: 10.00 HPS: 2.92 Heal: 10.00 The TT option, it has the plus that is easily achievable and replaceable, no MU aquisition cost and a good HPP. However the HPS is terrible and we'll have way better options later on; still worth mentioning that is a decent option. 6) Omegaton Fast Aid FAP-5 - to be considered Spoiler HPP: 10.00 HPS: 3.33 Heal: 10.00 Somehow an easy to get hands on loot, was at TT at some point. Very similar with the TT option, just unlimited and with a bit better HPS, but that shouldn't matter much since it is an out-of-combat tool anyway. We'll have way better options later on and the benefit over the TT one is ignorable, so I don't recommend buying one, unless no other option available. 7) Vivo T15 - not counted because of very high acquisition cost Spoiler Simply awesome tool (mostly because of the very high hps), but definitely not a new player tool, since the price for it is really, really high (a few good thousands PEDs). 8) Vivo T15 (L) - not counted because of low HPP (when counting MU) Spoiler HPP: 10.00 (8.33 counting MU) HPS: 14.29 Heal: 49.00 Craftable, going for ~120% MU. It's a somehow decent in-combat tool, with a high heal value and a high hps. However, as newish players, we don't really need a in-combat tool, and the cost to use is rather high when counting in account the MU, so I wouldn't recommend it. 9) Vivo T10 (L) - not counted because of low HPP (when counting MU) Spoiler HPP: 10.00 (9.09 counting MU) HPS: 7.29 Heal: 25.00 Craftable, going for ~110% MU. It's a somehow decent in-combat tool, with a highish heal value and decent hps. However, as newish players, we don't really need a in-combat tool, and the cost to use is rather high when counting in account the MU, so I wouldn't recommend it. 10) Vivo T15 Adapted - not counted because of very high acquisition cost Spoiler Simply awesome tool (mostly because of the high hps and heal which makes it nice for both in-combat and out-of-combat tool), but definitely not a new player tool, since the price for it is really, really high (a few good thousands PEDs). 11) Vivo T15 (L) Adapted - not counted because of low HPP (when counting MU) Spoiler HPP: 10.01 (9.10 counting MU) HPS: 15.02 Heal: 42.09 Craftable, going for ~110% MU. It's a somehow decent in-combat tool, with a high heal value and hps. However, as newish players, we don't really need a in-combat tool, and the cost to use is rather high when counting in account the MU, so I wouldn't recommend it. Well, we have four basic - Herb Box (achieved via trade, price is in 10-25 PED range) - 6.56 hps (heal per second) and 10.06 hpp (heal per pec) - 10-Pulse Unit (from starting packages) - 6.30 hps and 10.59 hpp - Vivo S10 (from Gauntlet instance) - 8.59 hps and 12.31 hpp - S.I. H.E.A.R.T. - 4.43 hps and 15.56 hpp
