Battle of Boksul and Riptarak Drive, which a lot of you have come to know has been postponed until we have the event list back in game for easy access to registering for the event.
Yeah, it would be nice to hear if it's still in the the planning to have these events return. Since there have been some Puny Wars in the mean time, I had the impression that the Event System was up and running again? Or were those test drives? They were very nice events, and it would be great to have them back. If it is a matter of 'lack of time': perhaps there are some volunteers willing to help out?
we been discussing this and since there is now several land areas running events we don't feel it's fair to compete with them and they offer very nice events as well. Take a look at their threads below Songkra Valley Weekly Event Competitions Arkadia Land Area 3 Weekly Events Oro Mutated Grind Huon MASSACRE @ Sanctuary Cove Kadra MASSACRE @ Sanctuary Cove
I really fail to see how you organizing something like that would count as competing, unless, of course, they take place at the very same time. Personally, I think that "the more options out there the better" and would love to see the dev team trying to organize that and eventually try to schedule them at a time zone that otherwise is not covered (considering that all those LAs events pretty much take place at about the same hours, leaving people which have a different time zone / play time hours somehow left over).
Yes you are still very new to the game. It would be unfair to the land area owns for the A-Team to have the same type of events going on that could take money away from the LA owners.
too bad. I really liked the riptarak event because tiarak is my favorite mob, and it wouldn't have had any influence over whether I did the other events or not, but I guess that's just me.
It's a shame to see these go, I only did a handful of them but enjoyed the ones I did. I don't see any issue of competition if you stick with timeslots not regularly used by the LAs. It'd be interesting to know what the LA owners think.
Thanks for the answer: at least now we know not to wait for them anymore. Clarity is always appreciated (even if the answer is not the one you hoped for). I can understand the reasoning for stopping the Boksul & Riptarak. All those free events were a nice extra from the start anyway. It was a nice gesture from the A-team to the players, to sponsor community events. So thanks in retrospect for holding so many in the first place. And even though I can't participate in the Puny Wars: I'm glad that they are the ones that survived the 'culling'. It's great news for all the starters.
