I don't travel too often but this Sunday something odd happened, was trying to get some repair skilling on Kronan so I decided to board Arkadia's SS to wait til docking time, when I did that was like hitting on some wall, at first thought was lag, then today it happened again, so only way I have to enter SS is by reloging and wait to die in space, so what's going on? I also don't know if this is relevant info but I changed my OS from windows 7 to windows 8.1, so yeah I reinstalled the game, and with that some itens come black for me like green paint and gallard hide, also I don't have sounds of blp weapons or my psy-blade, neither while mining. Most SS in space seem to be like this. You tend to have to wiggle around a bit or fly in at a strange angle to arrive. Once you got the hang of it, it's easy.
I'm sure the A-Team will pass this on, but (as a point of reference for people) Space is MA's domain directly, which includes the space stations. Also, I heard something regarding compatability mode for Win 7 if you are using 8 or 8.1??? Not sure if I'm remembering that correctly or not though so hopefully someone with 8.1 can confirm/deny or help you there.
I don't know other people OS, but before I reinstalled mine and the game, I've seen a few ingame complains about mining sounds, this specifically happened to me after last VU, but since the rest were ok, I didn't payed too much attention at the moment. Most people complaining are on arkadia for the first time, so I believe they never had our maps/sounds. I recall some complaining no music on ark also.
As far as I know there are currently still sound issues in game. And that is not only on Arkadia, but I notice the same thing when playing on Calypso. The sound thing is what I believe a MA issue, just like the SS.
The entry point of the stations is some meters out in front of the hole, not at the hole itself. Just line up with the hole and then fly in. If you miss it, center yourself and fly backwards away from the opening.
