also you wont get a lot of positive comments on a forum because the people that are happy and like playing are too busy in game then to debate about it. Like David said the numbers show all. If activity is up then his plans worked.
There is a great deal of difference between this VU and the last. Ores and enmatters are in different places, there are many less stacks than before. This is something that MANY have been begging for, for ages. I have seen only one or two claims of the Ark "rares" so those don't appear to be dropping more than before unless they're really deep now, or unless they are one of those things that will start flowing in a few days. Terramasters work great (at least 3 and 4 do, which is what my miners use). I haven't had time to compare differences between different depths. We've got a lot of sweetstuff now, which is good if taming is introduced soon, otherwise bad because it's just TT food. The deepest finder is not always the best to use... suit the finder to the area you're working in.
I answer "No" because: I dont like PvP in all it forms. I dont like people searching for PvP and involuntary restrictions for entering in created PvP areas. I do not have the financial capacity to achieve PvP-oriented players level in PvP. Now it is impossible to reach their level without the infusion of huge amounts of money. Appropriately place like rig (and more, PvP4 with theft) will infringe me just their presence. I dont like "Mutant" event, because killing 1-2 mobs every 20-30 (without including into IFN Challenge), without notable difference in loot is like a "Feffoid Mutant Event" on Caly, but on Caly was more mobs. If we had more mobs - it would be interesting. I dont like changes in mining, if they touch distribution of minerals in different areas. And i dont like bounded armor without possibilities of money returning. But: I have not tested the new starting area yet I have not tested new Oratan in Event Areas. Despite all this, I want to note that all these innovations have a positive effect on the economy of Arkadia, although it will make much similar to Calypso.
That is not necessarily a bad thing. Calypso has some good things, and some bad things. As long as we take the good and avoid the bad...awesome. Arkadia rocks. It's going to take a lot more than one VU that just moves a couple things outside of some people comfort zone to dissuade me. So....ores got shifted. Now we all have a chance to re-discover their new locations I recall protesting the 2-pec decay on equipping armor and clothes. We sat in our underwear for hours in Port Atlantis. Now...it's not an issue. Change is hard. Do not complain about how things *USED* to be. Use it as a way to create new opportunities and take advantage of them. My life made some HUGE changes in the last couple years, now it kicks ass Adapt!
Everything takes time to filter through the balancing algorithms. A bad run mining is not unusual. Just be patient, your HOF will come. Overall you should get around 90% back TT. This may take time to average out. If mining is not favouring, then do some hunting or crafting. Lots to do. Arkadia is moving forward!
I had the best hunting run I have ever had on Arkadia last night, and I had no globals over 40 PED, but I'm not going to assume Arkadia is a money maker and it will always be like that. It's all about averages and cycles and you can't take a few points over a few days and say that is how it's going to be forever...though on good days I wish it was!
Well time to bump : After thousands drops Ark drop only ore/emts ( except pyrite) using in actualy BP Dont expect see terrudite/zanderium anymore or any other if ark blueprints DONT USE Now problem #2 crafters? where you need more people here
I wanted to say, that I think this is a great step forwards. The mineral fields appear to return a lot tighter set of clustered minerals, which as mentioned before helps many miners manage their stack sizes better. Returns for me have been very similar to what they were before but the ore distribution is obviously changed - but this means that if I find areas with minerals I actually want for a purpose, I am now guaranteed to get more of the mineral I actually want on any given mining run. So I really like this update so far.
