Arkadia Launch Party: Location POLL

It ws suggested on this thread that folks planning to travel to Planet Arkadia on the official scheduled launch date (May 24th) meet for a fun social gathering a few hours before (maybe 22:00MA on the 23rd?).

The idea is to load up on everything that you need from storage to take along with you and hang out as a group before we cross the threshold onto the new world.

While we wait, we dance.






Port Atlantis and Twin Peaks have not been suggested, due to lag issues and general daily congestion by the citizens of Calypso. We were hoping for a more scenic and secluded spot.

Some suggestions have included:

North Space Base (it used to be a space base)
Athena Spaceport (it is supposedly a space base)
Cape Corinth (party on the docks)
Atlantis Archipelago (a secluded beach party on an island)
Nymphtown (lakefront party)


You may select more than one location.
If you have any other suggestions, please post them in the thread.

That -and nearly all what I can read in this forum- shows, that the long time missed "old spirit" is back on his way to the universe.

 

Whatever is decided ... I'll be there live on MSR and rockin' the music to dance to if anyone would like to tune in. If you have any favorite tracks, maybe list them in this thread as well and I'll do my best to load them all up before the meet-up.

Are the spaceships gonna be online at the time when the Arkadia Launch.
If so I want the launch party to be at some hangar

Atlantis Archipelago TP seems to me the best place for it.
No people there and no lag.

I voted Athena Spaceport. It is a beautiful place and is not used that often. Song suggestion Elton John's Rocketman ( seems like a fitting song )

 

Id say launch from memorial Island...Kinda fitting to say good bye to Calypso.

And Id like to depart oldschool style with some Deep Purple and "Space Truckin" , and "Burn". A little Judas Priest and "Hellion/ Electric Eye" and lastly some oldschool Black Sabbath with (R.I.P.) Ronnie James Dio and "The Mob Rules" as we will be a mob on the day to leave.

Nice idea about the party/meetup, don't think (mentioned here or other thread?) the Arkadia official avatars can really be there though (or really participate at all in organizing this), would be kind of an insult to their fellow PP SEE to be at a party on their planet celebrating a mass migration away from it the next day, even if it were possible for them to log in there? Not good business, and so far Arkadia has shown a professional attitude, think they will continue. If a party is organized will try to pop round, to be at a tp when I log in for the launch the next day is the main thing

Athena is a nice place to do the party, but in the content release doc we got today, tit seems SEE have updated some area's on Calypso, so maybe we will have a nicer spot to leave from tomorrow.
