(Emy Maze Zola baptized them ^_^)

    Ingame Description
"Though of medium size, the Madana appears to be a scavenger. Wandering freely while foraging, it is quick and can do a surprising amount of damage to its environment and creatures. It seems to have a substance in its saliva that eats away at flesh, making it more of a threat than the chance of a mere nasty bite.

This is a mutated variant of the Madana. This creature's vital statistics may differ considerably from its non-mutated relatives."

Making this thread public so people can reply to it with new loots and stuff ;)

Im also looking for optimal armor + weapon setups to fight the different maturities, if anyone is open to presenting them to people and myself!

I'm not yet too familiar with how all maturities' damage amounts compare to those of regular Madana. But for the latter I use Adj. Musca & 2C for small maturities (very eco, works for me up to ca. Guardian, Doms hit heavily through it), Viceroy for higher ones, with stab/cut plates as needed (4A, 5B etc.) Stalkers I find hard to tackle even in Viceroy & Pulsar 8, would be one for Aquila I guess which I don't own. Ymmv.

From what I gathered so far they hit the same :)

You tried using Pulsar 4's? (acid protection)

No, I'd say it's overkill at least for this mob. And these plates carry considerable markup. That's why I suggest Adj. Musca and Viceroy as base, because they already cover some acid damage. It's more economic to plate up on the other side. It would probably work with P4 on my Nemesis even for Stalkers, but I don't like the outlook of a long grind with this setup. P4's I'll consider for Proteron, Death Drake and the like. But I'm sure there exist different opinions.

I see I see... It's just that most people come to kill the mumas with their day to day armor, and get utterly thrashed by the acid damage... So I wondered if they wouldn't help. I guess some smaller form of acid protection might work too though

Of course, folks just dropping by casually wouldn't invest in a specialized setup. I don't think that the acid part is the biggest problem, or any out of several damage types dealt, as long as it doesn't make up 50% or more of total damage. Most of the time I can live with 1/3 uncovered, unless I go to my limits. But for someone planning to complete the mission, it is well worth looking into optimized gear. E.g. Adj. Musca & 2C also works perfectly for Wombana, so there are already synergies.

Yep, it's what I thought aswell, however since I wanted to populate the shop with necessities for the regular hunters, this is something that needs fine tuning on my end aswell :)

Not only so I can provide solutions, but also some alternatives. The reason I'm attempting to find proper setups is so I can inform people better, and more is better where I come from hehe

On further note, with pulsar 4's the viceroy's, gremlins and other medium ranged armors put the average damage of a stalker below 30, which in my opinion is quite acceptable for the mid range hunter wouldn't you say?

Sure, but at a price, is what I tried to point out. The original question did not hint at suitable shop offers, but optimized protection. If you plan for many thousands of a mob, you'll do some homework.

That aside, of course P4's are a suitable offer for a shop in this environment, but also don't forget that competition is only a TP jump away. Distance means little in this world. If the price is right it will work, whether they're buying it for hunting on your land or anywhere else. It makes business sense to take advantage of your specific resources. By hunting on your own land to the extent other landowners like to do (or at least keeping on top of buy orders), you'll harvest Madana tails probably more than anyone else and could build up skills/QR to a level that allows you to outprice everyone in this product. This will be attractive beyond your estate, even planet (did I mention Proteron). Transfer of the agreed consultant fee at earliest convenience is appreciated. :biggrin2:

While I understand the immediate economical concern you stated (some call it greed ;) ) It is not my intention to grow rich off the shop, but rather attempt to provide a service to the hunters and miners that will be coming to the LA for their daily pleasure moment.

But yes that is a concern to not be taken lightly and also the later mentioned "LA goods" are something I am fully aware atm :)

I will stress out again however, the shop's goal is not to capitalize but rahter be functional for people. Either way we digress, as I will be making a shop thread sooner or later to think this through better :)

This is a discussion on the mob's data ;) Let's stick to that!

P.S.: I apreciate your input alot San :) Thanks

Maturity has been set to medium-high now :) Feel free to come check it out! It's a lot easier to hunt out there overall now with some Dominants roaming, and some Prowlers on the high end.

Still room for a bit of improvement and might tone it down further if feedback goes towards that ;)

Reporting in to say they can now be properly hunted with Viceroy + 5b setups :) and added kill points for dominants and providers.

Maturity is toned down to accomodate for most peoples needs! Feel free to try them out and lemme know how it feels :)

Bumping it up to report that I organised the loot table(here) a lil' bit to make it easier to browse :) And would also like to point out again that the entropedia page is properly updated now with the MuMa information :) so go check it out and make your plans for the hunt!

Let me know if people find anything new that's not on the list yet, or if you see any mistakes, let me know!
