sorry for all that talk, I was just trying to wake Dylan up, But I mean every word of it, just didn't have to put it that way, LOL and still nothing, Well don't matter I am in Chris Hogans last book, and I know your not but im 100% sure you could have been alot closer IF YOU ONLY DID WHAT YOU SAID YOU WOULD DO, or at least pm me and tell me MA is blocking you would help some on how you are doing things
After i finish all my missions up in calypso, coz yeah codex steals all players from other planets. I'm wondering if i should still come to arkadia, my mentor did all the missions. Even on arkadia moon. Not even a big hof fell from the sky and he finished everything so fast. Rocktropia seems maybe a better fit. Please add codex to arkadia.
shouting at Dylan or any member of the Ark Dev team is singularly pointless. Firstly because we have no idea if he is at work in the current health crisis, and more importantly it would be very unlikely that anyone from the Ark team will be allowed to comment until the matter is fully resolved with MA. All we can do is be patient and wait until MA/Ark put out an official statement in due course
I think this may reflect the size of your mentors budget and available play hours, rather than any deficiency in Ark missions. I have been resident here for most of the life of the planet, and while I do also hunt elsewhere I am still quite a way from completing all missions on Ark.
I came to Ark today, to TT my Viceroy Skullcandy armor. I explored a bit and tried to hunt many different mobs. Mobs disspeared from Radar or completely...or didnt show on radar. Mob animations are still on fast forward. Lag as bad as on Calypso. Sounds are missing. I didnt expect to find anything new or special anyway. It also looked empty. Same stuff is bugged just like on day 1. Back to the bugged Calypso, bye.
Arkadia isn't dead, we will keep it running for our sake! But yeah the virus thing is affecting everything it seems
I left calypso and went to look around other planets. There are much more dead planets than Arkadia... Rocktropia - Damn the animations are for 5 year old kids, the planet itself is a joke, looking from miner perspective terrains are terrible. Empty planet as it should be. Toulan - Looks interesting, but empty, might be promising, but lacks some spirit.. Although mobs drop L items common which is nice. NextIsland - The makeover is fantastic, planets feels like you went on a virtual vacation, mining and hunting is decent and fun. Ancient Greece on the other hand is a different topic, not sure if I like it or not. Arkadia - I did not see nor did I expect anything new, I wouldn't say its dead, but it was what I was expecting. Good news that there are more traders around to sell your resources and loot. Overall its fine. But Codex should be here as well. Cyrene - still to visit.
I think the planet is still moving very well, when i'm not working i trade daily stuff on arkadia and i've just visited the moon after two years and i think this planet is awesome if you know what to do. That's my opinion though might change fast
Planet Arkadia is awesome. However, I think to say that things are moving well might be a little obtuse. I arrived on Arkadia with the great migration of 2011. I thoroughly enjoyed watching the planet evolve and grow with the hard work of the A-Team and Dave. It was both encouraging and impressive to watch his team unleash new content upon content and dev new systems in EU (Treasure Hunting). His project had become a solid diversion from the lack of direction and drama that had become Calypso / SEE. They built a good story line, a competitive self-sustaining economy, beautiful landscapes, interesting instances, and at the time were marketing heavily in Asia. Disappointingly, the planet (not including Moon) hasn't grown much since David vs David erupted around 2015. Combining the legal issues with what Dobson himself publicly said was a significantly challenging time bringing new players to EU, the growth of Arkadia atrophied and Dobson's public exchanges with the playerbase evaporated. It's as though he gave up any meaningful investment / development in Ark (I consider the Moon a land-deed fund raiser, not a meaningful expansion of Ark). There are likely a myriad of reasons for this, but we've never been given any reason why Elvis hastily left the building. Their auction listings have decreased heavily over the last five years (nearly half from 2014). There are rarely traders easily accessible. The new arrival zone has very little traffic (if any), even on the weekends. Even this forum has devolved into a 10-player roundtable. I love Arkadia and all that was created by David and his A-Team. I'm grateful for the experiences I've had on the planet. I am also sad and disappointed to see the direction it has gone, and how the beating heart of that direction and its promotion of by David Dobson so abruptly disappeared w/o any explanation over the last several years to the base that engaged with him. I wish for a better future for Arkadia than the trend of the last five years.
