Hi devs, Would you consider making a misison to obtain an apartment on arkadia? Something tough like kill 1,000,000 mobs. Just an idea
They might be better off giving the apartments as an event reward. 1 mil kills - no one would get an apartment (or maybe 1 person.) 100k kills - more people would get apartments, but it would be a temporary thing considering there will be a lot of people with apartments in 5 years that way. The truth is, the A-team cannot hand out any more apartments at the moment because the number of apartments they are allowed to sell comes down to the population of Arkadia. And it wouldn't surprise me if the A-team needs a green light from MA for selling apartments.
When new apartments are (hopefully) released, they could however sell them for arkoins instead of PED. Not all ideas coming from RT are bad (RT sells apartments/shops for rotten bananas and to my knowledge so far it has worked well for everyone)
Exactly. Arkadia apartments have really small number of item points, comparing to Calypso and especially to Rocktropia.
It might have worked well for RT but they've just announced that all new players will start on Calypso. RT forum is gone and everything is being handled through facebook now. I've love an apartment on Ark but with all the restrictions there's no way they'll drop to a price I can afford.
How about an event? With a high kill requirement? Smugglers attack celest harbour Ifn is deployed (and they have creature control capsules in which u could use to control Ifn military who is actively shooting the Smugglers ) Your avatar kills smugglers , and on occasion Ifn capsules drop to control your ally As a token to your service, if you can achieve 100,000 kills of smugglers you get an apartment beer a medal A special optic that doubles experience (it can be L and look like an aimpoint) Ifn can erect a barracks with a special memorial. Barracks has enough apartwmtn for everyone that got the apartments.
It's taken me I don't know how many months just to get to 4200 kills on the Halix grinder, I track my loot and noticed I had a 2 month play gap and didn't even realise. The choice being to play the new games where the game play is varied or grind on mobs and lose my sanity. Partly it stems from the fact I don't want to deposit enough cash to fight it out for an apartment in the auctions and then wait 4 months to get some of it back if I lose. I already posted a solution a long time ago which would also help with crafting. Every player gets a free apartment on each planet that is reachable only through the teleport system where you can allow friends in through a guest list. Keeping it basic with low / medium item points but it gives an instant market for people to craft furniture which uses resources and gives a way and a reason for people to skill crafting and keep them on Ark.
