Aakas Defender - Aakas Instance mob Description: First encountered under the ancient city of Aakas, it is presumed that the Aakas Defenders were put in place to protect whatever lies in wait in the underground environment. Little more is known about them, and research efforts are slowed by the fact that it is difficult to study anything about them without the imminent threat of death. There is much conjecture about the differences and similarities between modern day humans and ancient Arkadians. IFN and Archaeological Society researchers suspect the Arkadians may have been the ones to set up the Sentinels. There may be more history here then first meets the eye. Additional tips & info on Aakas Defender. - Link to the original Aakas Defender thread. - Max damage on avatar without armor (excl. crits): Defender 21 hp to Warden 145 hp. - Aakas Defenders can be found in all Aakas Keys. (Every 2 Key levels 1 higher Maturity is added.) And in Sal'diresh's Vaults (Arkadian Underground Instances). - Unlike the Sal'diresh's Vaults, the Aakas Instances have no Chest at the end anymore since Planet Arkadia Update 2014.4. The mobs have become shared loot, so you can be solo in a team. You have to loot each mob that you kill separately. - Mah'ketta armour is tailored exactly to match the damage types of Aakas Defenders and Dehera Chargers. No, the Sal'diresh Vaults in the Underground still have a chest at the end. So the mobs can't be looted individually: their combined loot will be in the chest.
So does anyone know where to find the shared loot aakas sentinels or dehera defenders that you see globaling? Coords?
Those shared loot Sentinels/Defenders can only be found in Aakas Instances. So the ones you see globalling are from people running an Aakas Key. When the chests were removed from Aakas, the mobs in there were set to shared loot. (To enable players to solo the Instance, even when in a team.)
Perhaps it is noteworthy that the Mah'ketta armour is tailored exactly to match the damage types of these and their Dehera Attacker cousins. Scribes of Arkadian history may even find some deeper connection behind this, who knows.
Oh, that's unexpected: perhaps you are talking about the Dehara? (The other 'guard' mobs in Aakas that look almost the same.) But the naming on Entropedia makes it a bit confusing. The Class seems to be the opposite: - Aakas Defenders are classed as 'Arkadia Sentinels'. Mission chain name: 'Dehara Defenders'. - Dehara Chargers are classed as 'Arkadia Defenders'. Mission chain name: 'Dehera Sentinels'. And to confuse it even more: "Defender" and "Sentinel" are two of the four maturities of the Aakas Defenders. Regardless: the existing Dehara Stage 5 (10k kills) info, gives the double (50 Intelligence Tokens + 2.77 ped Evade). So it seems the rewards have been lowered or changed? I'm slightly befuddled. Could you perhaps check/confirm which mob and Stage it exactly was for? Because they are two very confusing mobs. (Like the Damage Types numbers are not consistent either.) Aw, hoped it was posted in the wrong thread by mistake. So that means the reward for Stage 5 was listed very, very wrong: Stage 5 - 10.000 kills = 100 Stamina Tokens or 100 Strength Tokens + 33.85 ped Evade. Should be: Stage 5 - 10.000 kills = 25 Intelligence Tokens + 1 ped Evade ? (No choice of Tokens?) Hm, it does make sense that the listed Evade reward was wrong: that was way too high. But isn't the current one a little bit too small? In comparison: Bokol starts at the same HP. Bokol Stage 5 = 100 Strength tokens + 2.76 ped Evade or Concentration or Melee Combat. And even Stage 5 for tiny mobs like Carabok 1.77 ped Evade, Gallard 1.88 ped Evade. Or is 1 ped Evade considered a normal reward for a Stage 5? Anyway, thanks for the correction: I'll change the OP.
The rewards listed are for Dehera Sentinel not Aakas Defenders. It seems the reward portions of this thread and the other for Dehera are switched.
Nobody has noted that they have multiple attack types, but they definitely do. Was keeping an eye on damage while hunting naked and got the following 3 hits 19.6 66.5 139.7 This puts the weak attack around 40 max, the big attack at 140 (could be 145 as noted in op as I didn't track for too long) but the 66.5 hit is too big to be the weak attack and too small for it to be the big attack, so there's at least 3 attack types. Given that the graphical representation shows 4 different attacks, I don't think it's unreasonable to assume that they actually have 4 attack types, and that they could all do different damage types.
Just finished 10k kill mission (stage 5) I got 50 intel tokens and a small amount of evade. was so little i did'nt even notice (only gave me 11 points)
can anyone explain why when i hunt these mobs that i take the same damage as when in full dune rider ? and is always the same damage unless swamped with mobs then its sometimes more ?. i thought dune would cover the attack types and also why would it be the exact same in no armour ? its the mini key shared and solo.
They have two attacks, one regular attack and one attack that is based on your HP and ignores armor. It is supposed to scale down as your HP goes down but it is currently bugged to always do a % of your max HP. Makes them really scary when you have a few on you.
Thank you for the info i will just run them with no armour and save the decays. as it seems i take decay with it on and its same damage with it off.
