Like others have said, unfortunately it is the standard return for arkadian instances.
If you value your peds, don't do instances period. It's worse for a newcomer then crafting.

indeed sell the beast and the gremlin and you have enough peds to start a nice mining career, you can buy the stuff back in two months time and enough ammo and a gun for a few big hunts :)

While i agree that armor decay is high on arkadian mobs, if your armor decay is that high you may also want to look into easier mobs, getting more evade or getting a higher dps weapon.
