Hmm yeh I wish the notifications tray was more functional/customisable. It's very good in Xenforo, natively, but I haven't found anything that does it as well for vB.

A new feature has been added. If a thread you have subscribed to has any activity on it (new posts) then it will appear as a Notification at the top of the screen.

Yep dropping it down just like you said - I have to play on 1.5mbps even though my connection is much fatter than that :)

Not sure if this is still a relevant piece of advice, but try going into the options and dropping your connection speed down a step at a time until you have success.

Is anybody else experiencing issues with the like/thanks buttons? Namely that when you Like/Thank someone for a post, you end up getting a notification.

Thanks, we had taken the discussion offline. Seems like a bug between the various modules.

If i can't find a solution I may just turn the notifications off for the Likes/Thanks instead.
