Hi, I was wondering if weapons like the Cap 50 Smuggler, Cap 40 Smuggler, Asi Smugglers, etc. still have a chance to drop or if they were a couple and done kind of item? Thanks!
Plenty smuggler faps have dropped this year, a sir-30 smuggler in august and a couple of RAW early in the year. Last cap was sept 2014. So they dropped, just very rarely (although small faps are relatively common)
Devs will tell you that anything is possibly going to drop, even uber junk from back in the first year Entropia existed, BUT we all know how likely that that is, lol. If something's not in the loot table there's zero chance it'll ever loot again. Planet Parnters set up the loot tables, but Mindark has to approve them if I understand it correctly. Still makes me wonder why personal avatars are in direct competition with folks that have avatars that KNOW what is in each loot table since they set them up themselves, and update it at each VU, or sometimes without even a new vu being necessary I think, but that's just the way this universe works.
As far as I know there's only one person who does this (not an Ark dev). It does seem a little strange, but fortunately we don't have to worry about this on Ark.
It's the ones you don't know about that are the issue... including at least one individual heavily invested on ark
The faps and the SIR/RAW smugglers do drop. Any other guys that were not discovered before the SIB nerf can drop and a few have. The have SIB reqs in line with other guns, but the eco was not bumped up so they are pretty substandard nowadays. However I do not think we will ever see any of the original smugglers drop again. The SIB reqs are really low and MA has decided to stick with the nerf.
I've heared similar stories so i understand what you mean and can confirm the legitimacy of your accusation, It is propably also a bad idea to talk about it openly if you want loot ever again in your life.
