smuggler missions?

Hello all, this may be the wrong area for this, I am a relatively new hunter, I keep seeing the smuggler talk in forums, and in game. how do I start this mission? I am primarily on arkadia as I love the theme, creatures, and it feels more like home.

It all starts at Smuggler's Base: [27360, 27512, 222] coordinates in game.

Beware though that in order to join you'll need 1.000 (2 * 500) PED worth of arkoins to buy the clothes.

I have the clothes and even if you are not running the smuggler missions yet i think they are worth the price Feeling really cool with my black outfit and getting many compliments from other players.

 

I would recommend you start on the missions first and complete the stage VI for whatever mob you want to hunt, and once you complete the mission THEN purchase the clothes and start the smuggler mission. Unless of course, you want the clothes earlier... The reason I say this is you can use the 1k ped to cycle through the mission instead of having super nice clothes that don't really get you anywhere

 

I am new to Ark and also curious about the smuggler missions, the smuggler clothes were one of the main reasons I migrated here from Caly. Do the 1k worth of Arkoins get you the full set of clothes and join the Smugglers? Are there any preliminary missions?

What are the various ways to get Arkoin besides just buying them? I have some treasure maps from my AUDs, do those instances loot them by chance?

 

Yes, the 1k PED worth of arkoins gets you the full set (it is spread in 2 * 500 PED worth of arkoins missions).

No, no other real pre-requirements to buy the clothes (actually think you *might* need to be IFN first, but that is a easy quest chain, pretty much just walk all over the map).

Running the instances (both Aakas and Sal'diresh's) can give you arkoins, but the drop rate is kinda low/random and MU resonable, so you will probably get the best / cheapest deal just buying them.

 

That is pretty much all the PED I have right now, so I didn't really want to just spend it on clothes (though it is tempting, lol). I was hoping to just save the Arkoin over time while playing until I had enough. Are the instances the only way to get Arkoin? Do any mobs loot them or do any other missions reward them?

 

No other mobs have arkoins , u can run aakas any time you like and save them . As for the smuggler missions , you can take the kill point missions and finish them , the smugglers will know you completed them.

 

Are the aakas instances done using the keys I've seen for sale?

 

you only need the mini key to run the instance, cheaper to buy those. if you use the arkadia key 1-10, you need to repair it to full tt value and trade it for a mini key, this gives you the tt value in uni ammo, and a 'chance' at a rare card to drop. good luck, and if ya want to run any instances and need some help, I am open to doing some.

 

So if you do the full key you at least don't lose anything and potentially get something back? What do the cards do?

 

alpha cards atm that I know of, I may be wrong tho.

 

The alpha cards, when in full deck, will get you a gift from A-team. The first person to finish a deck got a brand spanking new apartment at one of the firebases (forgot which one).
