    Attention Gold Rush Enthusiasts

    The Gold Rush fever is upon Planet Arkadia once again. This years event comes with outstanding prizes.

    Rules

    Hidden within the loots is a set of Event Tokens. These tokens have points allocated to each of them. These points are as follows. (one set of tokens for each instance level)
    • Cat.1 Event Token - 1 Point
    • Cat.1 Event Token - 5 Points
    • Cat.1 Event Token - 10 Points
    • Cat.1 Event Token - 20 Points
    • Cat.1 Event Token - 50 Points
    • Cat.1 Event Token - 100 Points
    • Cat.1 Event Token - 500 Points
    • Cat.1 Event Token - 1000 Points
    • Cat.1 Event Token - 5000 Points
    You will have to obtain the "Arkadia Gold Rush Category 1(2, 3, 4)" mission from the IFN Terminal first before you will be able to enter the Gold Rush instances. You can enter these instances how ever many times you like during the Gold Rush and there is no key required to enter, the mission itself acts as the key. Please note, that these tokens cannot be traded. Once these tokens have been looted, the points will be automatically counted towards the mission when you loot any of the "Cat.1 Event Token - 1 Point" from within the instances.

    Total score will be calculated based on hourly point averages to derive each participant's 65 hour normalized points.

    Example of how it is calculated
    Avatar 1
    Total points: 6500
    Hours: 65
    Average points per hour: 100
    65 hour normalized score: 6500

    Avatar 2
    Total points: 7200
    Hours: 77
    Average points per hour: 93.51
    65 hour normalized score: 6077.92

    Since the event will now use normalized score that means that Avatar 1 would win as their normalized score is higher than Avatar 2.

    This event is intended for solo hunters. Any attempt at abusing team mechanics or any other Entropia Universe systems or features in order to gain an unfair advantage over other participants will be grounds for disqualification from the event, forfeiture of any prizes, and possible sanctions imposed on one’s Entropia Universe account.

    YOU CAN ONLY WIN PRIZES IN ONE CATEGORY

    If you abandon the mission at any time during the event, All points will be lost and they will NOT be replaced. You will have to start from scratch. So make sure you decide which category you want to compete in beforehand.
    You will have to complete a minimum of 65 hours in the Gold Rush Instances to qualify for winning a prize.​

    For every 100points* gathered you will be awarded with one(1) Neurobiotic Booster A10 1mg.

    Category 2
    1st: S & B Ardenner 36 (UL)
    2nd: Rage 25 (UL)

    For every 500points* gathered you will be awarded with one(1) Neurobiotic Booster A10 5mg.

    Category 3
    1st: S & B Ardenner 40 (UL)
    2nd: Rage 25 (UL)

    For every 500points* gathered you will be awarded with one(1) Neurobiotic Booster A10 5mg.

    Category 4
    1st: S & B Ardenner 55 (UL)
    2nd: Rage 35 (UL)

    For every 500points* gathered you will be awarded with one(1) Neurobiotic Booster A10 5mg.

    * if you should loot a token that will increase your points with equal or more points then the threshold for the Neurobiotic Booster is set, you will receive one (1) Neurobiotic Booster immiedetely and the counter for the next Neurobiotic Booster is reset. (this is a separate counter then the Gold Rush Points counter so your points will not be affected)

    Example: You have 87 points in Category 1 then you loot one Cat.1 Event Token - 5000 Points, this will give you one (1) Neurobiotic Booster A10 1mg instantly. So now you will have 5087 points and if you loot another 13 points you will get another Neurobiotic Booster A10 1mg and so on.

    In addition to the main event and prizes we have made four(4) special missions for these event creatures. We haven't forgotten the problems we had with last years Gold Rush - Hunting Division so these missions are created as part of our apology to the community.

    These missions are repeatable with a one (1) hour cool down

    Eh, do I understand correctly that there is only one of each? Scratch that, stupid question. Someone else will pump in more peds than I earn in a year...

    Ok now i am at the right place , to what category do i qualify if my max lvl is 53 ? For me it seems cat 3 is ok , i usualy go with ifn armor u buy with arkoins and 5b

    geesh, 2 prizes per category and a month to compete.
    Sucks i have a life, and can't play for 8-16 hours a day for a month....

    Yeah the best thing to do is to make a list upfront.. Everybody lists their gear and dps, buffs, rings, pets, buffed cloaks, buffed armor

    and then we declare the winner on the forum.. and only the winner has to go in and do 1 hour of hunting.. Saves everybody a lot of ped, including the winner.

    Haha - good idea!

    And seriously - Ark Devs should really think about normalised scores in Hunting Gold Rush (at least). Something like 40h or even 60h (since its 30 days) normalised score (check Merry MAyhem events on Caly if you do not know what i mean) would attract MORE players knowing they stand a chance. Otherwsie - shared avatars win.

    "Gold Rush" this year looks much better to me .... mistakes from last year are mostly gone. No key needed - looks like it will be a seperate instance and not part of the "normal" aakas (when i understand it correctly).

    I like the part with the extra-mob-reward. Evade is allways fine - in addition to the boosters i will give it a try.

    Of corse not for the whole event - an event without maximum time limit seems to be useless (to me) - i still have a life .....

    Shame that the prizes will obviously be won by the people with 4 or 5 playing a single avatar, but the mission part is a good addition and the skill pills are good too.


    I guess this means you choose the category when you take the mission and then only score from that category. But presumably you can do a test run, then abandon and restart in a different category if you think you made the wrong decision. It'd be nice if an official could confirm or deny that. If I had to choose category 4 and then found it was harder than I liked but wasn't able to abandon and switch to category 3, that would be very bad.

    Sounds good then , cant wait til it opens , those boosters seem cool and the evade is nice , i can dream on the ul weapons i alway wanted an ul version of that gun , sounds so cool :)
