PFEU Racing event

Hello all,

For a long time we have been saving up a bit, gathering resources. Even had some trail runs on Calypso a few months ago. Now I am really happy to announce that upcomming Saturday (September 26)we will be running a trail of our racing event on Arkadia . So with this post I would like to let people know how the race is going to work (in short).

How can I enter?
Entry to the race is the same as with the PFEU Hunts, it runs via our websites chatbox on www.pfeu.org
You don't need to make an account, once registration opens simply state your full ingame avatar name in the chatbox and wait. For Saturday registration will open at 12.00 UTC/game time and will only be open for 25-30 minutes.
Just like with the hunts (for now at least) we got only room for 6 people. So if registration goes beyond 6 a random drawing procces will occur to select 6 people. After the participants are known a meeting location will be announced.

So to the Arkadia Racetrack right?
No, its a beautifull track. However to run a race there properly we would need a lot more manpower to prevent people from (yes it does happen) cheating.

No racetrack? How do you race then :S?
Simple, we use a cannonball race format. Which means prior to the start you are given several waypoints. "Checkpoint 1, Checkpoint 2, etc, Finish". Participants will have to pass all these checkmarks if they want to finish the race .

But how do you know they will go past all those checkpoints?
The vehicles you use are provided by us, however you don't "get" them. You borrow them. This means as soon as you leave the radarscreen of the owner of the vehicle an automatic 10 minute timer will start running internally on the vehicle. IF you don't make it back within the radar screen of the owner within those 10 minutes your vehicle will despawn, which also means you are out of the race. So those checkpoints are vital to keep yourself in the race.

So what can I win with this race?

Third : 5PED
Fourth : 3PED
Fifth : 2PED
Last : 1PED
There might be some more comming in the future, however we are running this still as a trail to see how it goes. To get feedback and provide a different kind of fun ingame .

Finally got around making the winners announcement here.
But first I have to say, the race was a TON of fun! Just the start seeing almost all Spears make a backflip at the same time was hilarious
Anyways, thanks to Sholle we had an increase on the cash prize of the first place winner. So here it goes.....

First place: Raider Jones Ford with a time of 12min and 55 seconds. Winner of 20PED!
Second place: Anton Antuanos Smygare with a time of 13min and 15 seconds. Winner of 7PED
Third place: T33 Riehls T33 with a time of 13min and 34 seconds. Winner of 5PED
Fourth place: asf130 The Company with a time of 14min and 46 seconds. Winner of 3PED
Fifth place: Aiden Fangbuster Blade with a time of 15min and 40 seconds. Winner of 2PED
Sixth place: Noyumi NoGo Goluki with a time of 16min and 1 second. Winner of 1PED

Thanks for the fun guys I am already looking for a new route for next time. Fingers crossed

Alright Apologies for the delay on the update on this one. After the race was over I just fell asleep XD
The race today was awesome! In the Underground starting at The Abyss, going through Widowmaker, towards Wonderland, back to Fire Crystal to finish at Hidden Falls

So here is the leaderboard for today :
First place: Fire Dbug Fly with a time of 24min and 26 seconds. Winner of 10PED!
Second place: ChessChamp Champ Player with a time of 25min and 14 seconds. Winner of 7PED
Third place: Mike KingMike007 Hussey with a time of 25min and 19 seconds. Winner of 5PED
Fourth place: Flo KingFlo Deepfried with a time of 26min and 31 seconds. Winner of 3PED
