I'm close but not quite there and was wondering where to display the set if I did complete it...problem solved :biggrin2:

 

That's if they give u the cards back. They might do this after the 6 prizes are given out but if they let u keep them u can just hand them to someone else to collect another prize with same set.

As for the prize, i'm not impressed myself. For me it's just a big storage box which I could pick up for 50ped in auction, if it had shop functionality then I'd be impressed.

 

Hmm I wouldnt like to give the collection up completely and I wouldn't have thought they'd make us do that.
Not sure if it's to be traded for something like the CLD-X or if they just hold them till all are claimed then return them,who knows.

And yeah I wanted a set of DKOA for mine but knew that was never gonna happen and people have been asking how they can buy the existing buildings/apartments so they may prove to be worth some ped if the apartment is of no use to you.

 

This is cool and worth collecting for. Now, if you could take your Dropship from the other mission, pick up your appartment container and dump it anywhere you want, save for existing urban and other "blue zones"... ultimately including any planet if the thing is indeed spaceworthy... Uh, I think I just wetted myself.

I don't know what to think about that, It depends the term and if you give back the cards after the appartement give away. But for exemple, for that guy who bought 1 card for 2800 ped, it make expensive the appartament for the whole set if you would keep them.

 

Well the post does say you exchange the cards for an apartment. So if someone wants it, then give up the cards and get another set. Whats so hard in that? I am going to go after this myself. I have been missing the Aakas and Gold Rush.

On start i hunted every shity mob with shity loot just to get those cards.
I got all cards droppable by hunting.
I got no one by mining.
I got no one by crafting.
I tried hard until i realized that missing cards simply were not implemented.
I have read forum maybe too much and maybe understood wrong what all was posted.
I was somehow misleaded that there will be special event wit quiz where lucky one will get card.
Also i was wrong thinking that there will be NPC implemented witch will allow to trade cards in excess and gamble them for new one.
I also believed that completing set will be possible for many players or for all who is willing to collect them - that i based on some posts (David) where was said that goal is not just to collect all set but to do it first.
As i was thinking that everyone can complete a set i did not count on big reward but something small for everyone except who would be the first to complete it.
I'm not going to gamble with Aakas NPC, its to early for me with some emo problems because i didn't forgot last gold rush jet.
Also odds to complete set seem now hard - just 6 sets for entire player base.
So good luck and congratulations in advance for those 6 complete sets.

 

I Agree with Dan, only 6 apartments up for grabs...gz to the winners in advance sitting on cards after these aps have been distributed seems dull...perhaps a good time to part with the few cards I do have...?

 

Is it limited to these 6 forever? Then the many incomplete card sets would indeed be worthless and starting a new collection futile. But the container concept actually suggests that they can be fabricated on demand, and there seems to be plenty of space on the various firebases' premises for the foreseeable time.

 

I'm not sure if anyone has a complete set yet, so there's probably still time to get one of these if you want one.

The ark team said they'll be more sets in future, beta set after alpha I guess, but whether they'll end up with same prize is anyones guess atm.

Better play it safe if you pick some up from another planet's auction.

 

I just took a run around Victorious to check them out and there's 18 of these two storey ones there plus the smaller single story ones so there may still be hope after the first 6 are claimed.

I don't have a problem with the current reward but I do think that most of us will not get to take advantage of it cos it is quite difficult to track down a full set. So the value of the cards I have been buying is questionable.

It would be good if we had some other opportunities to trade cards for something. My idea would be to have a card trade broker where there are a number of items each with a specific combination of cards required to redeem the item. Items could include a whole range of things including:

• plushies
• weapons and armour
• buffs in the form of pills
• pets.

That way it wouldn't be an all or nothing proposition with the cards.Instead of just a few folks getting some value from collection there would be an opportunity for many. All those duplicates would have some potential value also.

 

Is there a good reason why the cards were made stackable with zero tt value? Because this way no reasonable market data can be calculated and displayed. If technically possible after creation, I'd suggest to change it to the same status e.g. the instance keys have and let them live in inventory's misc tab. Then a "+" value could be used instead of insane percentages and also they wouldn't be lootable in space since a few showed up on Caly auction.
