I can say I've ridden just about everything you can ride on a wave but I can honestly say I've never done this!! Not even sure I'd like too.
Looks actually pretty intense to control once it hits the water, guess it will take a little getting used to But once you do, mmm...... fun times!
Yeah there's no pitching in to corners,it'd be pretty easy to wash the front out I'd reckon. What a rush if you pulled it off though!! I've got an old sit down jet ski gathering dust outside atm and I've taken in big surf but nothing barrelling like that. I dont mind admitting I'm be a bit too chicken for Teahupoo. Next trick....green room.Come on Robbie what else ya got:biggrin2:
As I watch the video I keep thinking how do they get the bike back after a wipeout. Hmmm I have a sinking feeling it's not called a wipeout when surfing with a bike... Still made me laugh, nice crazy find Jod
'Sinking feeling'...pun intended? :biggrin2: I believe it had an airbag on it though it'll still need a pretty good clean out after. And he did 'wipeout' a couple times before getting this, which I'd also like to see
lol I had to google it "every time we sunk it it was like four hours work to rebirth it and get it running again" and another article " bound to sink the bike a few times in Tahiti, so we switched from a 450cc four-stroke motor to a two-stroke"
