Report to Assigned IFN Firebase

Hey all. I've gone through and done the IFN missions and been assigned to Victorious Firebase, but when I head there the mission isn't progressing. Is this just a placeholder mission or should it be finishing?

 

I got assigned to Relentless, I think it was. And it seemed like nothing more than the end of the starter missions chain. An achievement.

 

The ifn chain is not intuitive. I think there was a packet loss on the brain of whoever developed it. To answer you both, you must go to underground to continue the chain. There's an npc under a tent there.

 

Thanks for the reply. Had a quick look, the only NPC I could see was Captain Durham who was part of one of the earlier missions. I've done all the running around at this stage I think, just need to report to my Firebase

 

I got assigned to Defiant and when I went I clicked on one of the two guys standing next to each other which gave me day 1 of the Oratan quests. Kill 100 Oratan Puny Prospectors. You should have went to the Underground during the quest chain before this though I think.

 

Will find more details when I get home and can jump back on. I do recall getting the Day 1 hunt 100 Prospectors mission at the same time I got the one to go to my Firebase, maybe it was supposed to be cleared off when the other was started

 

Once I finished the day 1 I got the award immediately and no follow on quest was suggested. I read on another forum that you should be able to look at the IFN Challenge board to get the follow ones.

 

The answer you all are searching would be the ifn miision chain ends when u are asked to report to your assigned firebases.u can iether continue killing 100 puny oratans for 7 days and and once u done it you will be promoted to the next rank in ifn.private to lance corporal as i remember.when u can continue this if u want to go up in rank in ifn.but there is also a new patch released where u can pay da smugglers arkoin and finish those missions as well.i dnt knw about that cos i hv not done it.if u r a.noob take all the missions u see at ifn and aca terminals and do the them.its more rewarding.better do caraboks and gallads 1st.Those award evade skill points after completion of 10k kills.more information is found in entropidia.info web site.but some data are outdated.gud luck

 

well, is some sort of training if you got the uniform (that come without boots), you done with chain, then prospectors is the daily.

 

I got the prospectors mission and the uniform, I guess the other mission just stays then

 

The mission where you need to report to a certain firebase (after you get your uniform) should definitely finish when you tp there. This might be a bug. Did you get your Assigned to xxx Firebase achievement?

 

Was no problem for me, everything worked as advertised (got to Repulse). Don't remember about achievement though, will have to check it next login. But I took the whole chain beginning with the passport bribe only yesterday after the update. Can it be that some internal states are borked for those who had it for longer?

 

Being assigned to Victorious, as I also was, is a bit confusing because there's a suggestion that you should pick up the daily missions there, but as there is no IFN terminal at Victorious it's not possible to do so. If that's what's causing your problem, just go to the IFN terminal at another TP (Aakas for example) and you'll be able to start the daily missions.

Might be WP error, you know how they "fix things". If I recall correct, there's an npc on the higher base that will carry on your mission

Thanks for all the replies folks, I'll give it another go when I get on tonight and head back to Ark. Oddly enough I did get the daily mission at the same time I got the one to report to my Firebase and have not picked up the achievement

Got to 1st daily mission, I've completed it (got some ammo)... and it died there; tried after 24 hours to get the second one and no luck. It's not in the IFN terminal and it's not in my Mission book either. I gave up.
