I do like Monura Males for their positive loot returns but I'd be even happier if those rifles were powerfists.

 

Stop buying things from the auction ;P - maybe time to switch proffession ;P ! now runs and hides in the corner.

And you only have 1 powerfist ! also you forgot to put your shoes on !

So you could get 101% out of all the junk towards repairing your powerfist.

 

Oh Sally.. It's them damn Monura Males that shower me with firearms. I'm trying to sell them but no luck so far. They do come in handy during Oratan events though, where I'd probably just be in the way of everyone else punching the suckers.

That powerfist is my "trusty" Psy-blade. Had I known about the removal of those I'd buy more.

Those feet are not mine. I'm hiding behind the storage window.

I think you posted that idea on PAF too. I have seen this and I think it would be a good idea to do something for us melee users. Getting shrapnel and blp/cell ammo as loot is just adding to injury and feels like an insult.

Yes I too have found it kind of odd that melee amps are not dropping much at all.

 

Melee Amps arent the issue,I have bucket load in storage from dailys etc,its the actual melee weapons that I'll admit I rarely see also.

 

It would be good to see some power fists in ark loot. I'm just thinking about getting back into skilling that profession and its not easy to find anything suitable for my level. I'd really like to see some sib unl versions too. I used to have the PowerClaw ME but I sold it once I outgrew it. There really isn't any decent UL once you hit around lvl 20 until you get to 40 when the ranked psyblade is maxed.

Ah yes. They will be gone once I've gotten well into the 5k Monura Female mission. So don't you worry.

 

Most of the melee weapons I loot end up in the TT because they aren't worth trying to sell, so there can't be an overall lack of supply. Most regular melee users have unlimited weapons anyway due to their relatively low cost and high availability.

However there is a specific problem with powerfists which are almost non-existent in (L) form and which have few unlimited options too. That's always been the case, though it was slightly improved for a while when we had those Argonaut claws that don't drop any more.

It would be good if we could finally see that situation improved.

 

As a new player with very little in skills points, I only had 1 melee amp from L10 Zadul a day or two back.
Otherwise I've never had any melee weapons or amps drop, or would've used them up for skills.
Which makes me wonder if MA has a problem giving players skills?

What about if MA gave "repair tokens" for mobs killed by melee, where player must do at least 50.1% melee dmg.
Tokens are used at repair terminals for melee weapons only, or can be converted to shrapnel.
Edit: hmm, nvm I think if they did that it'll end up like more U.Ammo and be a pain in team events for none melee...
Personally I prefer cells or blp to drop a lot more then the current miserly drop rate.

And yes I sort the guns by TT value too.

 

One reason you don't see them is that useful melee weapons have too high TT to drop often. Plus, there just aren't very many available.

 

Very true. Hopefully the ATeam reads this and could add something like cheap 0.15ped Mako Trainers to low end (puny & maybe L1-4) mobs for us noobs?
After all on some un-named planet they find cheap little rubios and they last longer then 6-10 carabok. Eitherway I'd use looted melee weapons for skills and to increase carrying capacity.

 

Hehe, looting a bunch of guns is still better than coming up empty.
But yeah, some looted or crafted Ark PowerFists would be nice.

Btw, are there limitations to what kind of weapons a PP can make?
If not, then being the only Planet to have PowerFists drop in the loot could be a plus?
Since Melee use seems to be on the rise: it might give the (new) Melee-ers an incentive to come (and stay) here.
