And there I was wanting to be a bad girl with Ned Kelly SMuggler and get the achivment of been the most disliked on the forum ( shame Neds not got an account ) as then he could over take me ;D .
I totally agree with Kikki. At the end of the day, we all are here to exchange ideas, gain knowledge and generally interact with each other, not to win a popularity contest. And, as someone wiser than me said, negative ratings are worth nothing more than indicating that someone disliked what was said in that post, they didn't even used to carry any negative reputation points. Also, I think that anyone looking at someone's profile and comparing number of positive / neutral / negative ratings, could make a simple comparation and see for themselves what kind of person they're dealing with, so is not like a dislike/disagree rating here or there would ruin anyone's reputation. Thing is, (almost) whatever we might say (not only here, but really, in any communication medium) will be liked by some people and disliked by other people, so we all should learn to not take things personal and become oversensitive over the fact that someone else may disagree with our points of view. So yeah, I think we need the ratings back, so we are able to freely express our thoughts about a certain post - and really thought that the mirror ratings like vs dislike, agree vs disagree was a good idea. So I'll hereby sign the petition to bring them back. Keep the top of the most negative ratings out (I really didn't ever liked that "hall of shame"), eventually keep the top of the most positive ratings out too (since it can make people just go and hunt positive ratings, a thing I pledge guilty for myself on the old account), but please bring back the ratings.
Anyways to get back on track with OP's intent for this thread... I'm guessing a "Please Clarify" or a question mark (?) as a post rating was overlooked, or much more-likely is unappealing. But I'd still like to see a "Thank You" as a rating.
