What is Going on with the apartment and shops at firebaes?

Nope, no detailed info was given (for obvious reasons).

"Ark Manager", who is listed as the owner, is said to be a 'dummy' avatar sitting on the deeds.
So perhaps that could give an idea/indication of how it is going to happen?


Anyway, also wanted to say that it's nice that we get tidbits of info like this.
It's very much appreciated that the Ark Devs take the time to come and chat with us.
Since it probably isn't always the most relaxing activity for them.

 

Sadly its not, the way estates work the owner can never be null, thats why the dummy exists, in fact you continue to own a estate until the person you gave the deed to claims it, so the deeds could be given from a NPC, by the manager account itself, anything really, he just holds the estate till claimed.

Fun fact, most planets follow the format of "Next Island Manager", "Rocktropia Manager", etc, however since back in the PE days the Calypso dummy has been "Marcus Callender The Estate Broker", much more creative name.

While Marcus is just for estates, most manager accounts handle a wide array of functions such as being a wallet for certain planet income sources. Statements from other partners imply that PED is deducted from the manager account in order to manually spawn boss mobs as well.

 

Still does not say anything about if and when they will be released. But, I like to believe they will come soon-ish. (fingers crossed)

 

I hope I can manage to get one, would make a very nice estate for my museum.

There were a lot of apartments in the North West bases in the snow region (can't remember the name of the place atm).

Saw one of the Ark team moving around it while I was there.

Well I can FInaly Say I am now the Proud Owner of My own home on Arkadia.



Celest North 2 Level 2 - Fingers crossed more estates come on to the market and firebases get released.

But it is still worth while checking on auctions as occasionally estates do come up.

If you guys haven't already noticed, 4 of the Sanctuary Cove upper apartments are up on auction. Sanc Cove 7 Lv 1 and 2, and Sanc Cove 12 Lv 1 and 2. Get ready to bid bid bid! Also, the shop at Celeste North 8 (.Point Shop) is up on Caly auction by its owner, along with its entire shop stock.

 

The starting bid is 65000 ped for the celeste habour 8. I checked the shop and I think thats too much

 

I did a calculation based on all the items MU, shop deed, and added item points (Yes, I was that bored). The total value comes up to about 68000 ped. The bulk of it is from the extra item points. 335 item points = 33.5k ped.

 

Maybe I wasn't that bored to do that How much did you evaluated the shop deed itself?

 

I calculated the shop deed at 11.5k, based off the prices here: http://arkadiaforum.com/threads/prices-for-shops-on-ark.3909/ . The total item worth based on MU history is about 23k. Along with the item points valued at 33.5k, the total comes up to about 68k.

I think the asking price is fair, though it'll take some time and effort to sell off the shop stock.

Yeah! I got my very own appartment: Sanctuary Cove 7 Lvl 1 for 2525 PEDs.
It was the cheapest of the four up for sale this evening. I don't know who won the others (sorry, very bad at remembering names). I do remember the prices. Cove 7 Lvl 2 = 3004. Cove 12 Lvl 1 = 3000. Cove 12 Lvl 2 = 3637.
There came also a Celeste appartment on Auction while the bidding war for the Coves 12 were on the way, that was won for 2000 PED (buyout).

I plan to turn it into a Museum of Mêlée. I have well over 100 different Mêlée weapons in my collection, yet at this moment in time only the floor of my appartment to place it on. My dream has gotten one step further.
