    Sal’Diresh’s Vault FAQ

    What is Sal’Diresh’s Vault?
Sal’Diresh’s Vaults (or ‘Vaults’) are instances/dungeons located in the Arkadia Underground.

What is inside the Sal’Diresh’s Vault?
Inside there are mobs that you need to kill. There are several rooms, and the first one is open. Once everything inside is killed, the next room will open up. Once you killed the last mobs inside the instance you can continue to the last room where there is a chest with loot. Click the chest to loot it's contents, thereafter you will be booted from the instance and brought back to the outside entrance.
There is only one revive terminal, repair terminal and trade terminal. These are all located at the beginning of the instance.

How do I get inside Sal’Diresh’s Vault?
1 - In order to enter you need to have a Sal’Diresh’s Vault Key in possession.
2 - You need to be in a team. You can make a team and be alone in it, you will still be able to loot the chest if you are alone in a team.

To make a team : Right click the screen -> System -> Team

How do I get a key?
1 - You can make your own key. For more details go to :
    http://arkadiaforum.com/threads/saldiresh-vaults.11323/
    or
    http://arkadiaforum.com/threads/vault-key-ingredients.11305/
2 – You can buy a key from the auction house.
In Auction, you can find Treasure Maps under: Items > Misc Items > Handhelds.
And Sal’Diresh’s Vault Keys under: Items > Misc Items > Robot Parts.

You can also take your map to the bartender at moonshine bar located near the Celeste Harbour TP. He will give you a waypoint to the NPC that will trade your map + items for the key of choice.

There is a 1 hour cooldown per key creation. Create a key 1, and you will have to wait an hour before you can return to the NPC for a second one, but in that same hour you can still get all the other keys from the other NPC (also only once per hour).

How do I get a map for the key?
The maps drop from creatures in the Arkadia Underground (not Dromia) and from mining treasures in the Arkadia Underground or Planet side. These can also be traded and sold/bought on the auction house.

How do I find the entrance to the instance/dungeon?
Go to the Arkadia Underground. There you equip the key located in your inventory’s tools tab. Use the key/tool. This gives you a waypoint on your map where the instance’s entrance is located.

How do I enter the Arkadia Underground?

Step on a teleporter and use it. In the top right of the teleporter window there is a dropdown menu. Select Arkadia Underground. Then select Arkadia Underground as place to go, it is the only teleporter you can go to if you go down from planet side Arkadia.

How long does it take to clear the instance?

It does not take long. There are not many creatures (below 30) and you got plenty of time to kill them.
Example : Vaults 1 got two rooms with about 10 & 6 mobs. All Yarrijak Youngs, Mature and Olds. The last room are two Yarrijak 'bosses', a Guardian and Provider maturity (if I remember correctly). This instance gives you 1 hour to complete.

How difficult is it to run?
The difficulty is similar to Aakas instances. If you are not familiar with those, start at the easiest instance and work your way up to a difficulty that suits your skills best. There are 10 difficulties.
The bosses are easy in comparison to Aakas bosses, making these instances perfect for the new players. The difficulty is in the creature spawns, because every room has it's creatures spawned close together, making it easy for them to gang up on you.

What can I expect in loot from Sal’Diresh’s Vaults?

Currently known (to me) are Arkoins, Core Cards, Piron and S&B weaponry, Shrapnel and some other junk.
    Creatures & loot:
    Aakas Defender
    Dehera
    Rakta
    Ubo
    Yarrijak
(Magurgs are only found in Aakas and on a LA)
The creatures do not hold loot themselves, all loot is collected into the treasure chest at the end, which you can open once all creatures inside are killed.
Look for more info on loot here http://arkadiaforum.com/threads/saldireshs-vault-mob-loot-tables.12291/

Are there missions for the creatures inside?
Yes there are. At all the IFN mission terminals scattered over Planet Arkadia there is an ACA representative. This NPC gives you all the missions of the creatures you can find inside the Sal'Diresh's Vault instance.

What happens if I run out of time inside the instance?
When the timer runs out you will be booted from the instance. You will not pas go, you will not receive loot.

    - Special thanks to May for some extra details for the FAQ.

Solo in team sounds a bit like an exploit?

Nope. At the time of implementation, MA instances required teams. Ark instance design set things up so you could solo team. In fact at the Aakas instances, when chests were removed, mobs were made lootable by a solo team - something which does not work with most mobs. So it's an intentional design feature.

In any case, you really only need the team to get into the instance. You can disband once inside if you want.

Handy thread to consolidate the info. :biggrin2:
Since it's mostly for players who have never done Instances before, there are a few details that get asked a lot:

    - Under: "What is inside the Sal’Diresh’s Vault?
Because the Vault instance is so small, there is only 1 revive: located at the start.*
There is also a TT and a Repair Terminal inside the Instance.

    - Under: "How do I get a key?"
Take the Map to the Bartender NPC at Moonshine Bar at Celeste Harbour.
(He wont talk to you if you don't have the Map on you in your Inventory.)
He will give you a WP to the NPC for that specific Map.
Go to the WP, and you'll get a new mission: a list of the ingredients that are required.
Give both the ingredients and the Map to the NPC, in exchange for a Vault Key.
There is a cooldown period for each Key.
You can make Keys of other numbers, but to do the same Key number again, you'll have to wait until the mission becomes available again.

TT value of Vault Key 1 is 1 ped, to 40 ped for Vault Key 10.
In Auction, you can find Treasure Maps under: Items > Misc Items > Handhelds.
And Sal’Diresh’s Vault Keys under: Items > Misc Items > Robot Parts.
Or through P2P trade at Celeste Quarry, or #arktrade chatchannel.

    Another thread: http://arkadiaforum.com/threads/vault-key-ingredients.11305/

The mobs themselves don't have to be looted: everything is collected in the chest at the end of the instance.
One person clicks the chest to open it, and the loot inside will automatically be divided among the teammembers.

    - Under: "How long does it take to clear the instance?"
The Vaults are a lot smaller, and therefore shorter to do than Aakas.
For example: Vault 1 has two small rooms with Yarrijak, and 2 bigger mobs in the third room.
The timer is set to 1 hour, but that's very generous in time.

    - Under: "How difficult is it to run?"
The bosses are easier than the Aakas equivalent.
But the practical difficulty is in the spawns.
While in Aakas you can kill each mob separately: in the Vaults the mobs are spawned in a small room at the same time.
So at least a third of them will agro you at the same time.
This makes it harder if you have a lower defense level.

    - Under: "Are there missions for the creatures inside?
    Creatures & loot:
    Aakas Defender
    Dehera
    Rakta
    Ubo
    Yarrijak

    * Idk if that's the same for the bigger Vaults, as I haven't done those yet.

Vault 6 has two Ubo stalkers in one room but all the rest is Aakas /Dehera.
    Vaults 7 to 10 have only Aakas/Dehera's

not in the vaults but plenty in Aakas.

The maturity and qty can change even in the same vault size but the bosses are all Deheras, whilst everything is Aakas-types depending on the vault level.(perhaps a Dehera in a couple of the mid rooms also depending on Vault size.

Jeez, it never stops with learning new bits and pieces. Thanks.

He also won't talk to you if you come with a map 2 or higher but haven't done map 1 first. I only had up to 3 so far, but I surmise it works only in strict succession for every level you do for the first time. After that you can visit the converter NPC's directly in arbitrary succession.

I don't think that's correct. I'm not disputing your experience but I am pretty sure I started the Map 10 mission before I had started some of the others.

That's weird. I had a few of each map 1, 2, 3 in storage and didn't want to bother with the smallest at first, so I took map 3 out. But the barman wouldn't talk to me at all. I hadn't converted any maps before. Then I tried map 2 also to no avail. Only when I took it from the first did I get any response at all. Maybe some more testing is required, or did I overlook some info somewhere else?

I thought there was a little bug with the barman in the past too, I don't know if that contributed to the problem San.

He's a Barman - Probably Drunk - but there might be a cool down between maps from memory.

If you have the map you can go directly to the map npc now that we have them listed and so you dont need to go to the barman unless you really want to ;)

Also If you have stacks of maps think it only accepts single maps been checked in inventory - so if you have stacked them this might cause an issue as well and you might need to drag a single map off.

Yes, the map converter NPC's have a cooldown period of at least one hour. It is indicated by a blue exclamation mark instead of the yellow one. But there was no sign over their head and they didn't respond at all before I was at the barman first once to unlock the corresponding level. I remember having clicked on some of them before in vain.

I've also started them out of order.
But yeah, the barman was buggy for a while, where he was being picky and refused to talk to some people.
Though I haven't heard anyone having problems with him lately.
So I guess he's had a good 'talking to'.

Then I can only assume that stemming from buggy time the internal state was all messed up from my clicking nilly-willy. Was wondering before why he never talked and gave up on the stupid drunkard eventually. Good to know they sobered him up.

Does anyone know if the real "Team" function still gives you no loot? Tried a vault 7 with a couple soc mates a few months ago and we got kicked out at the end with no loot from the chest.

Okay, can now confirm at last that strict unlocking order is not required. Looted a map 7 and was referred to npc without further ado, although I only had the first 3 before. Likely was really just borked at the beginning.
