The reports of my death have been greatly exaggerated! Hyellow! I said here that I will stop any "social interactions" within the game and forum, and at that point that was really my intention... as explained in that certain thread, I was too involved, up to the point where it burned my self and became painful. There were some really nice words some of you said, but, to be honest, I mostly considered them some nice, but just conventional words, that people generally say on this kind of situations... you know, social conventions. I just didn't considered that I ever did or said here something to make me worth of someone from here to genuinely miss me. Pretty much always visioned me as a rather stressful person, bothering everyone around with 1,000 stupid question like "uuuuuuu... what this button doooooo?" and useless "hyeeeeeeelloooooooooows". Still, much to my surprise, I saw more and more messages coming, a few people PMing me in game or forum and even Murk putting my face on a milk box, so I just wanted to let everyone know that the reports of my death (or abduction by IFN, smugglers or aliens) have been greatly exaggerated. I'm still here, playing the game (much to the disappointment of the poor caraboks), reading everything you guys talk on #arkadia and everything you post on the forum, silently cheering on your successes and equally silently sympathizing with your bad luck streaks when they happen. Is just that I tried to stay in my corner, fly under radar, and just mind my own business. I don't intend to start writing and posting (even close to) as much as I used too... as some people told me (and I agree with them ), I just tried to hard to compensate for my lack of social skills and fit in, that I end up burning myself and stress a fair share of people in the process. Still, I will probably follow the advice some of you (obviously wiser people than me ) gave, and still post a little something every now and then, when I really feel I could say something to benefit and bring a plus of quality/information to the discussion. If you wonder why the new account (for which, of course, I asked for permission from the Master of the Banhammer)... well... a really dumb and weird reason (but you already know by now that I'm a bit dumb and a lot weird )... as I said I tried to much... and I got lucky enough to get a lot of positive ratings from you and end up in top 10 for likes, positive ratings, points, credits, whatever, a place which I totally considered I didn't deserved and it was artificially inflated (as in yeah, sure, I deserved a few of them, but definitely not all - some I kinda "hunted"). So that's why, a new account, to better reflect my right status of just a newcomer within the community... Guess that's enough for now... so I'll stop here... see you around, friends! Cheers, Alex
Welcome back and again for my very first post to one of your first threads you started I was way out of line and for that I'm very sorry for it.
I think in all honesty sometimes you devalue yourself to much, I read a lot of your posts and a lot of them you believe a lot of stuff you got or received that you are not worthy of them, I think you shouldn't take yourself down so much, when people posted on your thread with friendly talks and hoping that you remain in the community I believe most of them were sincere, don't forget EU is not a very popular game (mostly a niche) and I think 90% of the community likes to see new people active and participating a lot (which you did) If the game was occupying to much of your time (yes you should play less ) I think it was a good choice to lower your play time to 2 to 4 hours a day, we all know that real life is important, but for me you were and are a valuable member of this community so dont devalue yourself you should believe more in yourself because you deserve it.
Trying hard to avoid saying something stupid, too old anyway. May good things happen to you! (That gravestone reminds me of a sig line I once used in another VR – My gravestone shall read "Logged out of real life".)
