Scroll Bars

What happened to that lovely clicky bar that took you to the top or bottom of any page? Was really useful and user-friendly, can we have it back please.

 

They are gone, however, do not fear! Most browsers got a scrollbar!

 

Well duh, but that's not the point

 

Yeah, I miss them too.

 

i miss them too, but as alternative you can use your keyboard (depending on browser home/end or ctrl-home/ctrl-end)

 

+1 for getting the scroll bars back.
It was so much more faster and practical than using key-combos or scrolling.
Improved usability weighs heavier than bling-bling to me.

Still hoping it's just gone temporarily because of the forum changes/upgrades.

I guess this means I'm old school because I don't know what you all are talking about. I always use browser scroll bars. *shrugs*

 

Hehe, nothing newfangled, merely a preference.
It's about those 2 arrow buttons that were floating on the right bottom corner of the screen.

<--- sorta like that.
Regardless where you are on the page: clicking the Up arrow brings you to the top, and clicking the Down arrow brings you to the bottom of the page.
So instead of scrolling 10 times, or pressing 2 buttons simultaneously: those arrows just take 1 quick mouse-click.
Sites that have long pages often have a feature like that.

Yeah, it's nothing massive or earth shaking; but while the forum is being upgraded, we might as well make a case for something we find practical/useful/convenient? It doesn't hurt to ask.

Sounds convenient. Maybe I'm too used to scroll bars because I never notice such clicky things.
