Important! IFN intelligence: Oratan Titans incoming

The IFN intelligence office have just decrypted some data from the scouts that sent an urgent warning to the IFN to prepare for an onslaught of Oratan Lancer Titan and Colossus tonight!

The scouts have not seen any other forces following them so this is likely a new tactic from the Oratan to just use the large Lancers to try and break through the heavily defended IFN bases.

If you are able to lend support, please assemble at REPULSE FIREBASE (Coordinates 15015, 15047).

The attack are estimated to hit on Friday the 13th February 2015 @ 19:00 and expected to end as soon as every last Oratan Lancer Titan is killed!
Intel suggest they have gathered a lot of Lancers for this attack so the IFN expects it to last for days.

Can you make multiple spawns around the firebase? the one spawn is so over populated it is really laggy.

 

I think most of us who regularly hunt these big shared loot mobs prefer only one boss at a time, that way, as long as you're shooting you're guaranteed to be included in the big loots. As far as lag goes, earlier today we had 120 people shooting one mob and, at least for me, lag was a lot less than I've seen in previous events where we only had 50 or 60 people. I normally have to relog after only about 20 minutes but not this time, stayed on for a couple hours without needing to log at all.

 

Posted barely 2 (or 3?) hours before event... psssh.

 

Anyone got card number 23 - Oratan Lancer eminent in loot during this event?
Or shud we farm Oratan Camp spawns and kill end boss?

Or shud i gues that cards 3, 7, 9, 11, 13, 15, 21, 23, 28, 29 and 31 were not inplemented at all?
Im not going to test underground instances to see if card 31 drop, had some bad experience with instances lately.
Anyone with good news?

Though I think shared loot system is broken.

MarCorp Kallous-3 beats 100 other players, including one who does a 1k dmg crit.

I got 2 Piron-42s off 140ped loots when I'm doing less than 1% of the damage. That is broken, I'm sorry high rollers that I took your loot.

 

Where are the oratan lancers. I arrived to repulse base and found none. Did the spawn move?

Way I understand it item loots are semi random. ie ur chance of getting it is proportional to the % of dam u did. So anyone can loot them. Sometimes u get lucky

Random means you'll see unexpected "patterns", for example a low dps person can get an unusual number of items or a high dps person could get none, or someone might get 2 items in one loot.

I think it's pretty clear from experience (we've had a lot of experience with shared loot mobs) that your probability of getting an item is roughly proportional to the % of damage you do on the mob. Even if you're a high dps player doing the most damage to the mob, you're doing ~ 5% of the damage, which means the vast majority of the time the item will go to someone else.

 

I'm just saying that believing everything you're told is not the best policy.
