So I've developed a spreadsheet that allows a player to track hunting economy. Does someone have a more automated version of this? I can't do programming and this is as far as I got. I used a macro program to send messages in [Trade Chat] to track which mob I killed. It's basic but overall effective for finding all this information. This spreadsheet has been developing since Entropia's early days in 2005 and now has taken quite a twist with some innovation from other players. Weapon Economy How it works: Copy your hunt from your chat log parse the data Copy the Hunt Economy Info to Historical Log Information Tracked: Skill Gain Shots Fired Critical Hits Damage Dealt Maturity Killed Evades Tier Growth Weapon Inefficiency Mob/Weapon/Loot Log/Pivot How it works: Takes the kill numbers from the previous Weapon Economy Input all your loot Calculates Item MU Add data to Hunting Log & Loot Log Use pivot table to find your most efficient weapon/mob options Information Tracked: Mob Hunted Weapon Used Time of Hunt Maturities Killed Skill Gained Total Cost w/ MU Cost/Kill Total Loot Loot/Kill Globals Equipment/Ammo/Healing Decay Mob Drop Rarity --UPDATE 01/24/2015-- I'm adding the following features and changes: Navigation Hover Tips Removing random formulas Changing view to look like an app Creating macro buttons to perform monotonous tasks. Add weapon efficiency feature to track finisher separately from primary weapon. Switch crafting log to record real gains versus TT value.Future Updates: Add Mining Tracker Track Start\End Time Record Time\Date\Location\Size\Depth Log 'Unknown' resource data Track 'No Resource Found' Location\Depth\Time\Date Create Macro for auto pulling specific information from chat log. Create Macro to delimit chat log and auto log information Clarification: I use a program called Macro Express to do some of my dirty work. The macro performs the following additional info: Mob & Maturity killed. Weapon currently using. Hunt Start/End Time. This will also be used for mining.
I'm adding comments and notes to help guide people through the spreadsheet. I've got so many sheets in the workbook that I need to make a table of contents or something. I'll post it tomorrow.
Update: I'm going through this as if I was someone else. Wow I got a lot of work todo. I'm adding the following features and changes: Navigation Hover Tips Removing random formulas Changing view to look like an app Creating macro buttons to perform monotonous tasks. Add weapon efficiency feature to track finisher separately from primary weapon. Switch crafting log to record real gains versus TT value. Future Updates: Add Mining Tracker Track Start\End Time Record Time\Date\Location\Size\Depth Log 'Unknown' resource data Track 'No Resource Found' Location\Depth\Time\Date Create Macro for auto pulling specific information from chat log. Create Macro to delimit chat log and auto log information Clarification: I use a program called Macro Express to do some of my dirty work. The macro performs the following additional info: Mob & Maturity killed. Weapon currently using. Hunt Start/End Time. Potentially Entropia Life could do this a lot better if they wanted to invest the effort. They could incorporate it into their webpage. I should talk to them. Until then I'm going to continue refining my own tool.
Would be interested to see what you have done in excel. There is Hunter Stats Tracker application that was made be another player in AutoIT, can see more of it here http://www.entropiaforum.com/forum/tools-utilities/201196-hunt-stats-tracker.html but I don't think its worked on any more.
I'd be interested in looking into this tool more. Let me know if you get a hold of the developer or have more information about it.
Sorry completely forgot to ask last night,I've sent him a message highlighting this thread so he may reply soon.
Did this a while back in the Entropia Planets wiki: http://www.entropiaplanets.com/wiki/User:RAZER/HuntingLog It calculates the return % after you fill in the numbers by hand. Click the 'Add record' link at the top of the page to see what it does. Was pretty much a beta thing, so might have a few bugs, but stopped development becasue of lack of interest from the community, but could pick it up again of course.
Just spoke to Post in game and he's happy to pass on any and all source info but he doesnt have an account here. You can find him in game 'PostHistory Hax PostHistory' or on PCF
That is Great News! Thanks! I contacted him and he is giving me the code so I'll start right away on working with that also. Ultimately I'd like to have a database that uses community submitted results. Though it will take time testing for bugs and ways that people could incidentally submit bad weapon info before publishing would be considered helpful to others.
Okay this super piques my interest. Question, would this be able to keep track of what loot is obtained during a given run? Because not having to take a break every x kills to exactingly detail every single pec of loot and 1/100th pec of ammo, and then completely empty bags before getting back out to hunting would be HUGE.
I could technically integrate a semi functional version of what you are talking about. Steps to do: Go To - https://account.entropiauniverse.com/account/my-account/my-items/ Copy your Inventory to the Inventory Sheet Tab. Hunt After hunt go to My Items again and copy your inventory on the Hunting Run worksheet The worksheet will do the rest. It will compare the differences of the hunt start and end and calculate what you have gained out on your hunt. (They added a captcha to the login so automating the process is out of my league unless someone has some suggestion here.) This is the only way I can think of doing it. Let me know if anyone has any other ideas on the topic.
and if you're a gold card holder, it also asks for the passcode when you log on, AFTER the captcha... so that is two layers that are gonna bungle any automation of it.
have you had any luck with the one that Jod got you access to? I used to be pretty handy with AutoIT and AutoHotkey. I dl'd what was on the Entropia forum and was planning on taking a look at it later. AutoIT and AHK are a couple of nifty packages to work with.
I'm waiting on MA to give me a response on some things I submitted a few days ago. They take quite some time to respond.
K, hope you hear from them soon, would love to see both your spreadsheet and any alterations you make to the other fellow's AutoIT package. *p.s. I couldn't find a link to the spreadsheet... was that intentional? or am I just missing something? lol
I gave The Black Red a copy of it to do some interface adjustments to it. after they send it back I'll do some final touches and then release a first version for everyone
