Greetings videographers, I'm in the process of updating the Creatures threads, and want to add a short video of each mob. Because it's nice to be able to see what it looks like, and how it moves. So far I've found a few good ones on YouTube, and have embedded and linked those. Since I have yet to see a YouTuber who doesn't like extra views: I haven't asked permission in advance. (Also because I don't have/want a YouTube account.) But if you prefer not to have people clicking on your video: then please let me know, and I will remove it. After doing multiple searches, I'm still missing a lot of mobs. So I want to ask: Are there any YouTubers out there, who would be willing to put up short <1 minute video clips, showcasing an Arkadian mob? (Clean screen, in first person view.) Ideally also making the clips, though if need be I could do that (as soon as I can find a program for that). I haven't much to offer in return, besides some extra views on your channel, and ofc my gratitude. Erhm, perhaps some Forum Credits? Though if done well and consistently: your channel could eventually become the go-to-place for visual EU references. Which could be linked to more than just the Creature threads here. Why stop at Ark mobs? Mobs from other planets, armours, weapons/MF chips in action, vehicles on the move, colored clothes worn, pets doing their tricks: a short clip can show more than a long written description. Get the clips embedded/linked on other forums, Entropedia, guides, shop/service sites, etc. And after a while it could amount to much more than a few views. So... is anybody interested to lend a helping hand? Salutations, Nara Yuki Xara.
I would like to help... but... I hate to play on fps mode, only do when is absolutelly not possible to like on MS repairs.
Yeah, I always play in third person too. But this would not be a long taping of a hunt, but a <1 minute shot of a mob attacking you. So it shows the attack sequence of the mob. After that you can scroll out immediately again?
I have a few on my channel: https://www.youtube.com/user/RAZERentropia All pretty short though, 20 - 40 seconds or so
Great, thanks for letting me use those. :biggrin2: They are exactly how I wanted the videos to be. To show the attack it doesn't need to be long, after a minute it just will be a repeat anyway. So I'm looking for ideally under a minute, maximum 2 minute clips. And oops, I meant to write: "shorter than" 1 minute (for mobs). This keyboard has the > and < sign differently than my usual one. So going on 'auto-pilot' I managed to put the wrong one; corrected it in my posts now.
That's great! :biggrin2: The list of the ones that already have good clips is a lot shorter: Beladoth Bokol Jori Hadraada Halix Huon Kadra Madana Nusul Oratan Oratan Lancer Oratan Slasher Oro Otorugi Oweko Teladon Tiarak Zadul So a video of any of the mobs not on this list, would be a great help. Ideally, to achieve a consistency in the sort of videos, the following could be an indication: - A clean screen: all UI turned off. - In first person view, preferably at a natural straight level. - Approximately under 1 minute long (no longer than 2 minutes). - Showing the mob come running, and their attack sequence from close (attack example). - (If possible, also turning around the mob, to give a view from all around.) - Filmed during the daytime, because at night it's just too dark to see clearly. - With the sound turned on. But those are just suggestions: all contributions are welcome, and very much appreciated.
Got Dromia and Ostelok for ya... If I can figure out how to get better Q recordings, I'll update, otherwise, I'll keep getting what I can for you. http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLis4b8XO1u-3bdM-F5XzdSdhYZrOGEhKN
That's great, thanks so much. :biggrin2: I don't know your YT channel though, so I don't know where to get the links from?
Thanks, found them. Your videos have been added to the Dromia and Ostelok Creature threads. :biggrin2: I've linked both your YT and forum name. Please let me know if you want to change any of that (like the YT link under your forum name). Btw, after the Dromia video, I found this in the recommendations. It seems the earth Dromia learned to live without water, and how to travel in space.
The YT link is using my in game name... and since it's not the same as my forum name... as AxeM so kindly pointed out to me, nor the same as my gender... I think we better leave well enough alone... "Confusion to the enemy!"
