Its too bad such a drastic change had to be made just before a major (if not THE major) event. It seems like we got the worst of both worlds. The crazy low TT returns stayed, but the higher chance of unL items and golden parts left.

I really think if they got the instances up to the normal ~90% tt return and did away with the increased unL item drop the aakas instances would be wildly popular. The old system was fun for a bit, but very quickly the unL items drop in MU and no longer pay for the ~15% increase in TT loss.


At this point it seems pretty obvious that either there is a major bug in the incorporation of the key tt into loot or the system just flat isn't capable of adding the key tt to loot. One of the three needs to happen:

1. MA fixes their loot distribution mechanism (very doubtful that they will even admit there is an error let alone be able to fix it.)

2. Add a small chest at the end that is paid for by the key TT.

3. Cut key TT down to 5 or 10% of the current value (MA will bitch about it but they are perfectly capable of doing this.)


If one of those happens and arkoins drop at a semi-reasonable rate and maybe add some more low-midlevel items to the arkoin broker and you would have some very popular instances.

shitty system then. What is stopping the ARK team from changing the tt of all the keys to 50 pec?

 

They may think it goes to the loot and that may be the intent but it doesnt. Anyone can see that based on the numbers shown and anyone can see this is not a sustainable system.

The key TT may go to some hof in the future for someone but however you look at it, it is an admission fee. It was great for me to farm arkoins at a fast pace but you won't see me in another key with this system.

I think the best option without overhauling again is to just add a chest at the end that relates to the key and allow for loot on each mob. Problem with making it too lucrative is that it takes away from the underground and land area owners since it seems that UL items and exciting things are only available in instances and not in mob loot planetside. Still waiting for something to be discovered on Songkra valley.

lol so since there are no lootpools, neither personal nor mobwise (according to posts on pcf), we pay the entrance fee in form of a key and it's basically like killing a creature planetside that costs 230 ped to kill (incase of the aakas 10 keys) and not looting it ??? Thats bonkers! I'll get away from this bullshit as fast as I can xD. that's just crazy

imagine going out and killing 67 Atrox young without looting any of them. technically you are contributing to "THE" not "YOUR" lootpool. But who the f does that? Who ever thought that was a viable instance system?!

266 argonaut scouts
9 Daspletor young
230 oratan thugs (I don't know what creature are favored on ark sorry)

We are all agree that the new system is a fail

 

Its not a total fail, it just needs some work... Ark builds the instances, and fixes the errors, MA is in charge of the loot amounts, and drop rates. This is not the first time MA has botched an event for Arkadia.

 

All thanks to MA for a consistent 50% TT return in the lower level instances. The return is not much better in the higher level instances. I call this a scam.

Top 10-15 will be over 5M and the top 3-5 will be close to or past 10M due to groups sharing avatars and running them constantly.

Seeing that Arkoins do not drop - any reward they claim , they wil pay it for good.

 

I wanted to laugh at this speculation. But I do not know everyone's score, so good luck everyone.

 

I noticed that when I ran a few keys this last week, absolutely no arkoins dropped at all only the point tokens dropped. Was kind of disappointed with this but I did manage to loot a few nice guns so all was good.

Did people drain all available arkcoins and are sitting on huge stockpiles awaiting that auction event thingy?

 

I did a couple keys the last few weeks and only got arkoins during the first 3 days.
Now they removed the arkoins but didnt replace them with loot!

And Taco's prediction seems pretty accurate to me.

Can anyone explain how the prizes work.
It looks like the 6th place will get the same prize has the 25th place, and 21st will not get anything. And them 50th will get a prize too but not the 22nd or 23rd...

 

The one about the top players, ya, I knew that would be happening, it happens on Calypso's none time limited events all the time. Smart players with lots of friends would keep 1-10 ava's running 24/7 like a job to ensure they placed for the top prizes on such a long running event.

Being it was setup as an unfair event and all uber only was best to not even participate for me I just like to run the keys when I come to arkadia I don't even give a crap about those tokens I tt them when I get to trade termial because they are pointless to me.

 

This is event has nothing to do with being uber, it's all about peds and time.
