Looks good! If I hadn't played the game and read the testimonials I'd be "Yeah sure. This dev team sure like themselves". But alas... I am playing the game and agree with what the others have said about the dev team! Keep it up!
Thanks everyone for the feedback. We are really keen to get more testimonials, so I'd encourage anyone willing to write one suitable for the website (basically answering the question - Why join?) to do so either here in the thread or you can pm myself or Dylan. We'd be very grateful.
My simple answer to that would be 'Why not?'. If I can think of anything that doesn't iterate what has already been said I'll share it.
Gratz, the new website is looking fantastic! I read and clicked a bit through it, but couldn't find anything about the value of the PED. The first time I read PED was at the Investment page, talking about 10.000 PEDs, wich is not the right way to talk everybody into joining. I think that if you can show what a small 10-50 dollar desposit can do, that that will do wonders. I'll also think about how to answer David's why join? question. Not always easy to answer!
Great job! The new site looks fresh, and gives clear information. Hehe, too bad that the awesome looking newer Arkadian Armors didn't make it to the prime spot on the homepage. - And yeah, the new Gold Rush events don't show up anywhere (yet). It would be nice to at least link events like that on the bottom of the "Events" page? If it's to cut down on the updating that has to be done: perhaps do like on the CL, and show(& link) the top post(s) of the FB page(/forum)? - I don't know if it is my monitor, but by default the site comes up quite big on FireFox. It has to be zoomed out a few times, so the text wont be cut off on the sides. And somehow it's the only site that will go completely to the bottom by 1 mouse-wheel scroll (instead of the 1 screen where it's set to). - The FAQ looks more straightforward than the old version. Though it might be handy to also provide links at the top of the page to the various subjects? So that if you have a specific question, you don't have to read through the whole list first. - About testimonials: I have to admit that in general, I have a hard time believing sites with only glowing reviews. We know these are true, but if I wasn't playing this game, I would probably be skeptical. (Though that might say more about me than about testimonials.) - It's very possible that it's not allowed, but: why isn't there more explanation about how the PPs work? For instance, that the choice of your birth planet will have a lasting effect for the duration of your account? Or that if you start on another planet, you wont be able to do the starter mission chain here? Oh, and about that: does that Kit show the new freebies from the starter missions? I spy a new Hoverpod, different colored boots, and no more pants and harness. So... does that mean we'll see more orange pj's running around again?
My first reaction to such testimonials would be "They come from paid staff members". On the other hand it is tricky to add testimonials that hint at hurdles or difficulties because that could surly put people off from joining. Like, my initial tip to people thinking of joining EU (no matter what planet) is to read up on the game as much as possible and join forums to not lose money. But if that was displayed it would send one massive red flag to visitors. Yet it is true.

Why join? This is a game for all kinds of people from all over the world. You can be what you want to be in this world, or just be yourself. As an aspiring writer I enjoy writing my avatar's blog on the forums, and in game I just like to shoot bad guys and run after fluffy little animals to cuddle them to death. Apart from that, the community on this planet is great and the development team is doing their best for a great gaming experience.
Why Join? I've found that the Arkadia Forums have been one of, if not THE, greatest source of information on how to best use my time, energy and peds in the EU universe while on Planet Arkadia. The staff are MUCH more helpful than the ones at MA itself, the people are friendly, and have a generally good sense of humor and fun. If you're going to play EU, and be on Planet Arkadia, you should DEFINITELY JOIN THE FORUMS to get the best out of it all!
